Best way to farm for a Hawkmoon
I would like a couple of tips on how to get the Hawkmoon, because I'm starting to get desperate. Since Destiny was released, I've been trying to get it from the raid bosses and nightfall because I felt like it was impossible to just get it from crucible or vanguard strikes. So does anyone have tips or just stories on how they got it (out haven't gotten it)?

I was playing normal crota and we cut up and blasted the crap out if him, and the rewards popped up. "Crap, still no Black Hammer," I screeched. But then it popped up, the Hawkmoon. And I cried a bit and may have pissed my pants.

Got mine from leveling up Cryptarch guy, couldnt believe it! Thats another option if no drop from nf or raids.

Run Crotas end hard mode, should be doable in less than an hour with a decent team. You have 2 chances per character, at the deathsinger chest and crota himself. If you have 3 charters that 6 chances per week. Get the gorgon checkpoint on VoG, thats another 3 chances per week. For a total of 9 chances every week. Plus you can always run PoE, do Atheon, random crucible drops. Really just depends on how much time you have. Quickest and easiest though is crota and gorgon chest for 9 chances per week. Good luck.

I got my first one from doing roc strikes before HoW came along. Dropped on the psion flayer mission. Second was from nightfall.

2 RepliesIt's the same procedure as with a Gjallarhorn, only with a slight twist to it: again, start by doing VoG HM but do NOT for the love of god leave your sparrow until you reach the Gatekeeper! If you want to drop Gjallarhorn, use an uncommon fusion rifle to complete the rest of the raid, if you want Hawkmoon, you need an uncommon shotgun. Remember: you MUST run every relic for the entire Atheon fight. If not, just start over right away. After completing, immediately start CE HM and just make sure you DON'T get hit a single time in the first section (abyss). As far as I know, you're good for the bridge and Ir Yut. Concerning Crota, you MUST run sword, not forgetting to dance right before you pick it up EVERY TIME. This worked for me and several other friends. Took a while, but totally worth it!

Since Hawkmoon is a Pre DLC exotic, you have to do extra grinding. Gorgon Chest Atheon Ir Yüt Crota Nightfalls PoE Trials So in other words every single endgame activity you can think of!

I got my first one from Gorgon Chest on VOG hard mode. Then the other 3 have fallen from 2 nightfalls and deathsinger normal

Cant wait to see what i get once i finish leveling up. Got gjally and hawkmoon in the same week. Hope xur sells something cool this weekend.

I got another one from the Nightfall today but its all just RNG. Exotic drop chance in strikes is REALLY low (or was pre HoWs I dont do strikes that much anymore). Unless of course you are on Xbox and not PS then you dont need a Hawkmoon you need a brain :)
