Most orbs of light produced with a single super?
I got 9 on the nightfall yesterday, anyone top that? Or am I just excited over nothing?

With armor the max is 9
: --- generated "x" orbs of light
X will never be more than 9

It was my understanding this was capped at 8 with the taken king update. If you titan slam on top of a tether I can see a total of 12 orbs created. I'm pretty sure bungie capped orb creation on suppers. Maybe something glitches and more was created. Pretty rare to get more than 8 without a tether. Each yellow bar creates 3 orbs undying mind strike and slam the precursors and test it out. I only can 8 with the crest on.

Just use a different jump if you need to stay camouflaged. I switch perks & armor on the fly all the time. As long as you don't switch sub-classes, all is good.

However it would seem that people making more than 9 is due to probably wearing an armor piece that gives a chance to make an orb when "x" enemy is killed. At any rate, I was wrong. My apologies. Also, if anyone can actually explain how that Titan made 16 orbs off a fist of havoc im all ears.

Titan's bubble + Gift of the Void = 5 orbs. Gift of light = up to 8. Add Crest of Alpha Lupi. Add it all together. A lot of orbs.

Edit: I also got 15 on the new mission where you are hunting skolas, (the reverse archon strike) as a striker Titan, when the waves first start at the end, No orb gear, and not a lie. 15 is the highest Iv seen, but Iv heard someone get 16. -Just because you haven't seen it doesn't make me a liar.-

Once killed 2 major knight with 1 nova bomb and my teammates said there were like 28 orbs on the ground, we were all like "how did that happen!?!?"

9 is the most with a single super, however if u kill an enemy with lets say the nova bombs vortex you will produce extra orbs on top of the first nine you made with landing the nova bomb

However various class and armor abilities can generate orbs of light which are indepenent of this limit. Sunsingers with Heart of the Praxic Fire, Sunburst, and either Ether Bomb or Hive Destroyer gauntlets can dramatically exceed this limit in Radiance because their super gives multiple successive recharges of the very abilities that can trigger extra orb drops. Combine with Song of Flame and allies who have similar armor or class perks and you can contribute even more orbs of light with your super by empowering their abilities.

A Super can only generate 9 Orbs total with a Keeper of the Pack item. However, some things may make it seem like this isn't the case. For instance, Fist of Havok is considered a melee attack. Using that to generate the maximum amount of orbs [b]and[/b] wearing Gauntlets that generate Orbs for killing certain types of enemies with melee attacks can create the illusion of the Super generation over 9 Orbs. Any number over 9 is from the Gauntlets, not the Super itself.

1 ReplyInteresting to know is, orbs produce more super depending on the persons intelligence. So if the orb you produce will give more super if you have high intelligence. It makes sense because sometimes I'll pick up 4 and get halfway on my super, where 4 dropped by someone else puts me near my super bar.

If you are running a radiance warlock with gauntlets that have a chance to produce orbs of light with grenade kills on hive you can crap out a lot of them very quickly (like 20-30 if in an area with a lot of thrall). That, as far as I know, is the only way to get more then 9 durring a super but the orbs aren't made from the super, they're made from the retarded amount of grenade kills you're getting.
