Yes this is satire but actually to be honest so that previous raids stay relevant, maybe this should actually be a thing. Atheon > Crota > Skolas? That way new players don't hit 20 and then rank up a few Crucible and Vanguard marks, few strange coin now they're cap level without the challenge or experience...
Edit: actually -blam!- Crota. Clear the bridge legit and then you can do Oryx

Well since some of us killed Crota, oyrx knows that guardians killed his son. So his revenge would be destroying every last guardian. But your post does make sense. The story should have included the raids to some extent so new players can't just pick up the game and hit max level, but at the same time, make it so they don't have to catch up too much

7 RepliesThe only problem is that without matchmaking, raids are an elite, end game activity for something like a 5th of destiny players. So limiting the story arc to them would be unfair and just plain stupid. However, I would like to see more accessible raids at lower difficulty, thus something like this could happen. They should make you complete the raids in sequence, maybe you have to actually run sword or something. Alas the story is weak already, it's more or less lore based, not cohesive at all.

Yeah no No real reason to do Crota when Taken King comes out. Crota is old news already.

1 ReplyPlus the "story" follows you, not everyone else. Just because someone else killed Crota doesn't mean he died for everyone. If that was the case Eris would've congratulated you on killing Crota when the raid was first completed.

I really hate the fact that all our guardians [b]literally[/b] do the same exact thing and lore-wise there is only one guardian that does all the awesome things we do. Become legend my ass!

I mean if you want the Full experience then yes I agree:) this Huge, evil winged, demon looking monster is after you because you killed his son. Obviously we can not give a shit...but I would give a shit just to get the full effect you know
