DLC v. base game

Okay, so first of all I'm super hyped to electrocute a load of Taken enemies as a Stormcaller in The Taken King, the trailer was brilliant. But I've noticed a lot of backlash about the pricing of it, so I wanted to judge it objectively. I'm going to compare the base game to all of the DLC combined and see if we're getting our money's worth. Note that this will be based on the Playstation, as the leaked image I'll be using for reference later doesn't differentiate between Exclusive and non exclusive items. The original Destiny base game cost £60 when it launched. As far as I'm aware that's the most expensive it has ever been, in British Pounds. And in that you received: 20 Story Missions 6 Strikes 1 Raid 6 Subclasses 4 Patrol Worlds 1 Social Space 4 or 5(we'll call it 4, as Clash and Combined Arms are really the same thing on different maps) Crucible Gametypes 10 Crucible Maps 18 Exotic Armours 22 Exotic Weapons Now, if we combine the cost of the season pass (£35) and the Taken King expansion (£40), all of Destiny's Current expansions will cost £75, which is evidently more than the base game. 1/4 more, specifically. so if we multiply all of the above factors we can see that, with all of the DLC, you should get an extra(rounded to the nearest whole): 25 Story Missions 7 Strikes 1 Raid 8 Subclasses 5 Patrol Worlds 1 Social Space 5 Crucible Gametypes 13 Crucible Maps 21 Exotic Armours 26 Exotic Weapons
Part 2 Okay, so now we know how much, monetarily, we should be having, let's see how much we actually get. I'm going to use that leaked image of all the Destiny expansions for number reference, as it's been accurate so far. We get: 22 Story Missions (Not enough) 6+ Quests (Combine this with the Story Missions, and we'll call it enough) 7 Strikes (Enough) 2 Raids (More than enough) 6 Prison of Elders Missions (Entirely new endgame content, so more than enough) 3 Subclasses (Not enough, but understandable and entirely expected) 1 Patrol World (Not enough) 2/3 Social Spaces (More than enough, though I'm not sure the Lighthouse counts) 13 Crucible Maps (Enough) 1 New Crucible Gametype (Not enough and it's unlikely that The Taken King will have 4 new types) 19 + Exotic Armours (More than enough, as I'm sure The Taken King will have more than two Exotic Armours) 9+ Exotic Weapons (Not enough, though I image the Taken King will bump it up to around 13 or so)

Part 3 So in total we have 3 enoughs, 5 not enoughs, and 4 more than enoughs, which averages out to exactly 1 not enough. You could say that the prison of elders, being an alternative end game content on the same level as raids, counts as two more than enoughs, (I would) but for objectivity's sake I'll leave it as one. Or you might say that the subclasses don't count as a not enough, as we all understand why we have only three, but I'll leave it there for economic sakes. There it is. We're down by around a couple of pounds, money's wise.

Part 4 Unless, of course, you by the legendary edition. Which costs £15 less than all the expansions together and would make you end up with about 2 more than enoughs, because you can ignore the 1.25 multiplier. So provided you haven't bought the dark below or house of wolves, you're in luck, and if you haven't bought the game at all you're in for a treat.
