This is the most stupid idea.
You know what? Why don't we just have every gun have a direct ammo feed because it seems like whenever you reload you don't lose the clips left inside the mag.
5/21 50ammo
*reload
21/21 34ammo
Can't games just use magazines.
21/21 4mags
*pewpewpew
3/21 4mags
*reload
21/21 3mags
I also don't understand how a person is able to carry 250bullets around with him when all he has is some butt pockets unless....oh dear. I get it now.

1 ReplyActually, it might make sense when using the correct animation. Instead of throwing away a half filled clip of ammo, why not save it for later and prep yourself with a new one?
-
2 RepliesBF2 does that. But you can only play online through certain sites now but I know it's got a good following still as it is probably the best battlefield game made. Titanfall does that too and I prefer that system over the one games like CoD and the newer Battlefields use

I hope the division does this. Also would love having to loot mags and weapon specific ammo; AK ammo will only fit in AK's, AR15 ammo for AR15 ect ect. And if you reload it takes as long as it would to drop the mag into a dump pouch and fish out a new one, or you could drop it on the ground for extra reload speed but you'd have to scavenge or buy a new mag sometime.

It's done like that simply so players don't lose large amounts of ammo. Is it realistic? No. Does it work better? Usually yes, unless there is some reason you are trying to force players to conserve their ammo.
-
Because that has a huge impact on gameplay.

5 RepliesBattlefield 4 hardcore mode does that

5 RepliesDidn't Titanfall do that? ( don't really remember )

I like the numbers better.

clips left inside the mag
you mean bullets right? a Clip is used to hold bullets together in older weapons, such as bolt action rifles. the clip is placed into a fixed magazine. with modern guns, you put a Magazine inside the Magwell to reload. a gun fires Bullets (or shells, if it's a Shotgun.) an easy way to tell how many mags/Clips you have for your weapon is to take the full mag capacity of the weapon, and see how many times it fits into your total ammo (with max ammo in reserve obviously) for example, let's say I have an AK47, which holds 30 rounds in the magazine. and I have 120 rounds in reserve. that means that after I empty the gun, I have 4 more Magazines before I run out, because you can fit 4 30s in 120. simple maths really.

3 RepliesIt just makes it so muuch easier. And less complicated.
