About Fallout 4 console Mods

It's nice some can be on PS4 and X1. But it's going to be limited. What happens when someone enhances the graphics? These consoles have very outdated hardware. It will severely limit them as far as mods go.

            • A curated list of stable mods would work well, but I'm not holding my breath after Bethesda's "no curation" policy on Steam paid mods.

              • here's the truth, people: PAID mods are coming to Fallout 4. skyrim didn't end it, they only delayed it. they even said as much, saying " it was a mistake to think they could change an established community like [i]skyrim[/i]". Fallout4 is an unestablished community full of new people. [quote]well they don't curate?![/quote] oh butt they will. as seen in the doom bit of their conference. they will have mod integration via a new website service. you'll need this account to get mods on console. however, on PC the 3rd party Nexus Mods site is free and secure. until this comes out and devastates that community again. many people left after others stole their works and claimed it as their own, others quit after they removed their mods for paywall only versions that in the end gave them nothing. and they were only making about fifteen cents to the dollar, if a certain number of users downloaded it and reached a threshold. so it really didn't help them at all and was really just a cash grab by valve and beth.

                yeah it's gonna be limited, mods take resources, so they need to pick and tweak some, so xbones performance doesn't hurt too much, but we'll see how it goes, maybe this is that xtra reason to get a xbone too then :) or they just allow everything but graphics etc mods

                • Bethesda will have a website like steam workshop, where they will have mods but they will be very limited in size.

                  • There is a HUGE difference between "Hope" and "will happen" folks. The time stamp on the Tweet is after Howards initial statement made at the press conference about mods coming to PS4 made earlier that day.

                      For everyone who didn't watch/pay attention to the Todd Howard interview on YouTube, Bethesda will be working on mods for PS4 which will come after the Xbox and PC mods. Just to clear all that up. Also, I don't have much experience with mods, so I'm excited to see how these ones work on console.

                        Knowing the gaming community, pretty sure there will be mod creaters who will create mods specifically for Xbox and PlayStation, or make washed down versions of pc mods. So we get the experience, but not the full blown buffet.
