I mean, if people are willing to pay $$$ for equipment, then what's it to me. I only have 2 people I know IRL who play, and between the 3 of us I think we'd be pretty well set with straight up trading. Two of us have excess Mythoclasts, at least one of them has excess Fatebringers. I got the new Hunter Exotic gauntlets TWICE with two Xur engrams. Of the two of us with Gjally, I know I only have one and I think the other one does as well....but the one of us without does not really care. But he probably would take my spare Swordbreaker.... Argh, so so much grinding could be avoided with a trading system!!! Even if they limited it severely with a huge glimmer cost.... Maybe for Christmas this year, Bungie will allow people one trade, or have Xur come in in a Santa hat and let people buy (for like 25K Glimmer or some other huge amount of currency) their choice of ONE of any item from the entire loot table....
