Destiny is an awesome game, it really is. I take my hat of to the genius developer work that goes into a game like this, the artistic work, the game play etc. I really see games as amazing collaborative artworks. I don't usually complain on forums, and I know that people that usually do mostly can only dream to have the skill to put something like this together, and ensure it continues to work and grow despite the large volumes of players surrendering themselves to the story everyday. But when you really get buried in the world that is Destiny, the story, the art, the personalities of the characters, the community, but the game play rewards you want keeps evading you, so does the draw to the game. Your audience is fickle and their short attention spans are constantly lured to other beautiful pieces of art and interesting stories like the ones we have seen being unveiled at E3. Players constantly get duplicate drops, and the items we want keeps evading us. Ice breakers drops every second day, but still no Gjallahorn after months, the same as many players, yet the ones that get it, they get it constantly. They may have the problem with the Ice breaker though, it never drops for them. The game dynamics in that regard sucks and it is a big flaw that will see people continuing to leave. The worst is when you spend over 600 Motes of Light for the Purifier robes during Xur's last visit and all you get is Hunter and Titan chest pieces!! This is for a Warlock player! Playing a game, winning, getting achievements, rewards... these are the things keeping people coming back to it. Having to face disappointment when some players get 5 of the same drops they don't want or need, and others keep eluding them really discourages players. And they will look for reward elsewhere. If drops are so random, why do I constantly get Ice Breakers, and the next person constantly get Gjallahorn? Why did my engrams end up in 6 of the same Titan chest pieces and 4 of the same Hunter chest pieces after I bought it with my Warlock? Where is the randomness in that? Having to get bored of such a beautiful piece of art due to frustration of not being able to enjoy every aspect of it despite hours of attempts, is a real shame.
