Simple question. I have a level 20 hunter and warlock. What's the quickest and funnest way to increase light level from here on in?

4 RepliesThanks for the quick responses. Think I'm gonna try raids and crucible. What drops would I need for even contemplating taking on some of the higher ranked crucible players?

2 RepliesDo the vanguard strike play lists and bank all the legendary gear, and trade in vanguard marks with factions or vanguard for gear. That will get to to level 32 pretty quick. Then jump on a site like lfg or the 100 and start doing raids/prison of elders etc. Mix it in with a bit of crucible here and there to make things a little less tedious. save up your strange coins for exotics from xur. Do the nightfall every week. Profit

Do Raids. Not the quickest but it's fun

2 RepliesOnce you hit 20 raising your light level with your armor is the only to gain levels. Not sure if you knew that or not but figured I'd throw it in just in case. I would spend vanguard marks on the new HoW gear that will get you up to 32, then I would start buying exotic armor and engrams from Xur you can ascend those with Exotic shards, with that you should be able to complete the 32 PoE and get the Armor core that can be traded to Variks for that weeks Light level 42 gear. I just hit 34 this passed weekend and I missed out on the PoE chest piece. Hope this helps, good luck!

Vault of Glass, Vanguard Marks, Crucible Marks, Legendary Drops. Then later Crota

1 ReplyEither crucible or strikes to get vanguard rep up, all you need is rank 2 and vanguard marks and you can purchase them from the tower

You can only do it through light level of gear. Gear drops from strikes or crucible, buy gear from vendors using your vanguard marks (get marks by running strikes, 200 marks per week they don't roll over), buy exotic gear from Xur, eventually get the raid gear from VOG and Crota, eventually gear from prison of elders or trials is Osiris.

It's much more difficult now to level up than it was before all the dlc, I know this because I'm leveling up my girlfriends account for her. What I did was run pvp, I chose elimination because it's the fastest, once you hit about 25 find a group that will run VOG on normal with you. Get an exotic piece then keep running raids and POE.
