I think it's fair to say as far as exotic armor for Titans in the House of Wolves DLC there was nothing to really be excited about. So I was doing some thinking and thought of a great solution for us Titans! I think we should have a piece of exotic armor, most likely a helmet, that let's you shoot out of the ward of dawn bubble. Similar to the Aegis(relic) bubble in the Vault of Glass. Now for PvP purposes I think this would be great. As a Titan I feel I have no reason to run my defender class because I just can't compete with the supers of the other classes or my other subclass (striker). I feel with regular ward of dawn I'm just sitting ducks for those shotgunners or supers to just destroy me. This would be a nice way to even the playing field and have more Titans use the Defender subclass for pvp. Now as far as PvE goes I think this would be a little OP, especially in those difficult boss encounters. I mean most people burn bosses already and this would make it way too easy so I think a way to balance this out would be to shorten the duration of the bubble. So basically the main perk on the exotic armor would be "decreases the duration of ward of dawn while giving the ability to shoot through it." Let me know what you guys think. Maybe other exotic armor ideas for any class we could see in the future?

How about give us an unbreakable bubble for supers sounds better

1 ReplyThis would break the game... Defender Titans are already the most wanted class for PvE. If they get a helmet like this, might as well give Hunters a Gunslinger helmet that says Golden Gun deal 10x more damage per shot. And Warlocks a helmet that kills all enemies in sight after self resurrecting...

being able to shoot out of the Ward of Dawn while having armor of light would be broken as heck. Only thing that would make it balanced is if enemies could too. That way it would force you to use armor of light, or be pretty risky with weapons of light. It would allow you to have more options for the bubble, using it as a sniping buff shield for example but having equal opportunity to be sniped back. But when you think about it, weapons of light with a sniper rifle for PvP would be the most broken thing imaginable. And yeah, broken for PvE as well. It is just too powerful to be able to shoot through a shield, even if they can shoot you due to Weapons of Light. Defender for PvE is already awesome for control, and Trials of Osiris to pop over your tea mates glow orbs if you have the opportunity.

Decrease the damage output you do from inside the bubble while shooting at something outside of it. 50% at least. That's like what, a 2 or 3 second TTK in PvP? Not bad. We already have armor that's obviously more useful in PvP(eternal warrior would be all but useless in PvE) so I wouldn't mind it being less useful in PvE

2 RepliesDefender is fine as is, Saint 14 makes it godly but this is just dam over powered (coming from a very experienced titan)
-
Only if you would do less damage otherwise it's op
-
Armor of light on a defender with feedback fence gloves. Very fun. Punch everything.
-
I want armor that makes me look like Optimus Prime.
-
Ive thought this thought so many times.
-
I don't think this a bad idea. Yes, it could use some tweeting here or there but not bad. The people that think it's fine the way it is are wrong and you don't run as a titan on defender. PvE, majors and ultras will jump in and melee, even if you the helm of Saint 14 on, and if you've ever done a nightfall with light switch on, you feel pretty damn cheated. It's not until after that that they become blind. PvP, I've had multiple bubbles dropped, as well as me, by hunter and warlock specials. Even titans with fist of havoc. And I've had other players run into it while I've and on the helm and shotgun or melee me down. So no, I don't think the bubble is or would become OP. Just my opinion.

3 RepliesI think a perk that makes the bubble explode as its deployed would be better. Just a really small aoe that does hefty damage. Means it's clear the area when you pop it as oppose to having masses of enemies wandering around inside

Edited by Brick: 6/16/2015 7:52:22 AMOnly with primary weapons & reduced damage (maybe 25%). Would probably cut the duration as well. Edit: in pvp at least
-
Ok but maybe only with primary weapons. Otherwise yeah, you would be able to dps bosses and mobs too easily haha.

Edited by CitrusTheNile: 6/16/2015 7:03:59 AMI think an interesting choice would be whoever does a super inside the bubble also dies with the Titan who created it. For example, a blade dancer would be "blown up" or "consumed" by the void if they killed the titan who created the bubble while inside the bubble. Same would go for a titan striker or a warlock who jumps into the bubble to use their super inside. This would also go for enemies who kill the titan inside the bubble normally. The victim or victims of the "consumption" would only be the people who damaged the titan. If this seems "OP" you could just have the "void bubble consume those who destroyed it." This would hopefully eliminate warlocks and hunters destroying the bubble with their supers i.e. golden gun and nova bomb.

I want the bubble to explode when destroyed by a super and do Damage around itself.
-
Great Idea.

3 RepliesI don't think Defender needs a buff. I main Defender and think it works just fine. Blessing of light is good for crucible anyway
-
19 RepliesLOL Translation: Bungie give me free kills.
-
5 RepliesTitan main here and that's broken AF to OP
-
3 RepliesHow about we even it out a bit so the exotic allows u to shoot out but others can shoot in.
-
9 RepliesSomeone posted this idea the other day and I think its a great one - have the titan bubble follow the titan around when he moves.
-
To make it not so op, you do reduced damage.

1 ReplyUHM....ward of dawn is AMAZING for Trials, we went flawless 3 times this week with 2 titans and gunslinger. I have a secret strategy that i won't share here but I can give you this tip: Wear the right gear, pop bubble simultaneously on door entrance, orbs will drop...let gunslinger use his super. Grab his orbs and repeat. I won't say anymore, you figure out the rest.
-
It would not be op if only you could shoot out? (PvE) its pretty rough for PvP but it does have its place

4 RepliesI stopped at 'we can shot out of our bubble' Soo what you want is something where unless a hunter has his golden gun, you get free kills left and right until your bubble runs out? Yea. 'Fair.' You have those gauntlets that about one shot people if they melee you.
