I don't think it's an age thing. Because I can't think of there being any point during my life, when shouting, screaming, humming or eating down a mic, or playing crap music in the background, would not have pissed me off.
I don't think it's a generation thing either, because even though I have encountered this, most the gamers I have encountered on Destiny have seemed to be good people.

Lol except in PVP

I rarely play PVP, I hate it. But the people who play it aren't the problem. Some of the maps are awful, and a series of nerfs, combined with the drop in special and heavy ammo spawn rates, which is a kind of nerf to five weapon types in one hit, lead to the natural result of making PVP a monotonous hand cannon fest.
