Note: For the record, the AR choice should read "normalize TTK of Suros Regime to be the same as Thorn, and apply that buff multiplier to all ARs." Meaning, if it takes 1.35xbase Impact to make the Suros Regime have the same TTK as Thorn, a 1.35 multiplier would be placed on all ARs.
Rant: Bungie-- it would be nice if we could fix typos in our polls; also it appears that iPhone users don't see the full text of polls that are longer than two lines of text.

Just restore thorn to what it used to be and only the "skilled" players will still use it.

11 RepliesSolution: Make thorns DoT random. Each shot has a chance to poison the target. Headshots have a higher chance. Everything stays the same. It keeps it's 2-shot capability, it just might not happen.

Boosting the ttk of auto rifles to that of thorn would be bad. The thorns ttk is a little to high and an auto rifle buff won't help the thorn problem. The best thing to do with thorn is lower the DoT so it can't kill you in two shots

7 RepliesThey already explained why they won't buff things to compete. They don't want average TTK to go too low. Thorn and TLW are outliers, and they will eventually be fixed if bungie's weapon history tells us anything at all.

1 ReplyI would do this: 1. Add a Crucible mode with no exotics 2. Buff everything else other than exotic handcannons and pulse rifles 3. Double guardian health This way, gunfights will be based on skill, not how fast you can pump bullets into another one without burning to death.

1 ReplyI like the concept of balancing weapon classes based on their respective exotics. What if we did that for all of them-- took Suros, Thorn/TLW, Bad Juju, and MIDA and adjusted their TTKs to be relatively equal, then applied whatever changes were made to the rest of the weapons in their respective classes? Do you think that would result in adequate "trickle-down" balancing for the rest of the weapons?

Auto rifles are much more forgiving than hand cannons, pulse rifles, and scout rifles.

I think killing the user should cancel the DoT. It's so annoying when you walk away from a gunfight that you won, only to die from the poison five seconds later.

Why not change everything back to it's original stat values? (Except for reload of course) and change snapshot to extended mag, (giving you more ammo I.E 9 rounds but at the cost of range and much needed stability) it would cause a lot of people to drop thorn completely, but still be usable. Also re buff Autos.

I think nerfing the dot to just 1 instead of 7 would be fine My main problem with thorn is the dot stops your recovery, blinds your screen, and allows the enemy to track you
