Anyone else find the ToO Recruitment posts a little intimidating?
A couple of my buddies are away on vacation, so I went to the Recruitment tab to find a ToO team. I'm average at best and don't play a lot of PVP anymore. I was just looking to win maybe 5 games, enough to get a new helmet. Not looking to go flawless or ruin kids days. Just wanted to have some fun.
The more post I read through, the more discouraged I got. Almost every post had the strictest requirements to join.
- Must have exotic ToO emblem
- Must have Thorn, Matador, Sniper
- Must have gone flawless in weeks past
- Must know the map like the back of your hand
- ect ect ect
The lists went on. I didn't want to join anyone and have them get pissed at me so I just left and ran some bounties. Is there anyone who just wants to play for fun and not have go flawless with a 17 k/d lol. Where are of those players? Are there any?
Just kind of wondering if anyone else is in that same boat when looking for a ToO team. Thanks and enjoy your day!
*Edit - Just wanted to thank everyone for the great mature responses & positivity! I've read every response and it looks like the best thing to do is just make your own post. To those of you offering to help me and all the others, you are the real heroes! I hope to pay it forward someday as well just like you have! Game on Guardians!
* Edit #2 - A ton of us are in the same boat! There are lots of people in here looking to team up and dropping GT's! Add them! I'm on Xbox One and my GT is leedy5. I'd be proud to play with anyone in this thread! My awesome (sarcasm) Time Warner internet is down today, but I'll be on tomorrow after they come and fix it!

Me and my brother play and generally recruit 1 person from lfg. All we ask is a mic, and a positive KD. You don't really need more than that to go flawless. I looked at one of these players stats just yesterday. 0.4 KD and did not have their own exotic emblem.

I don't meet 2. Exotic emblem and flawless. The guy that asked? Didn't. Meet. Any. I was mad. He was stupid. And bad. I joined him. No. Just no.

That is all I see in the recruitment tab. I have no intention of going flawless, I'm gonna screw it up somehow. Just want 5-7 wins. Most of these guys require all that, but have never done what they ask themselves!

Oh I know what you mean. I feel like tiger woods, a few years ago I was awesome, but now I'm terrible. My pvp performance is bad.

If I met the requirements I wouldn't join a group like this. I would rather help some players that want help and are going to try their best.

2 RepliesOnly thing I ever ask is to be able to revive and duck. Care less wat weapons or gears etc.. You have everyone plays different.

I would never tell them any of that. Prerequisites such have "must done previous " or must have emblem. They would be lucky to have me People on LFG mostly are looking for teammates. But Those guys are either looking to get carried or form the "LFG Avengers "

This is exactly what I'm looking for too. I've never really done the whole PVP thing before, and what I see just puts me off more. I want to have a laugh, and if I get some gear I'll be well happy.

I did the trials with my friends week one and my first attempt we went flawless. Guess what I used... I used a MIDA, Found Verdict, Hezen Vengeance, and my Defender Class. Honestly trials was kind of a joke and the only team that gave us a problem was the last team which we won 5-4

Don't be intimidated. There's a lot of idiots on the forum looking for more idiots to have a collective shitfest in the ToO. You can always make your own recruitment post and add that you're not especially good at PvP, and you will find like-minded people.

1 ReplyThe good players don't make demands on the forums so when you see that kinda shit just move on. Best things to look for in an lfg is communication, fun, and one person to call out strat while the other two follow that persons lead. In my experience anyway - but I've yet to go flawless and idt I ever will so maybe idk much lol.

Not hardcore pvp. Trials weapons are average at best (the rocket is sick). Only reason I can see a good reason to go is the emblem and a solar Handcannon (which I have). Maybe a void scout or summoner but still only mediocre weapons

5 RepliesLet me just say that Trials of Osiris is a JOKE. Nothing but Thorns, Last Words and more lag than bungie can deal with in this lifetime. They scream BALANCE and ToO is the biggest display of unbalance I think I have ever seen. Really discouraging as I was looking forward to trials. Not anymore.

Anyone else find the fact we have to go on those kind of sites to look for a team to play is retarded. Would of been nice of bungie to give everyone a tablet with the game or just put matchmaking in there
