Oh look! We can always look forward to some Marxist nonsense from Britton.
Listen people: go research and learn for yourself.. Don't be a slave like the OP.

Marxist nonsense? So you're saying this isn't a problem?
-
Not a problem at all. The truth is corporation views reflect the "people's".. The idea that a corporation is some enemy to is is ridiculous.. A corporation is people. A bigger issue I have.. Why when you see there is a problem do you look to legislation to solve it? Over legislation is almost entirely responsible for any one issue I have ever seen you post about.
-
Yes they're people, some of the wealthiest people in the world that only care about one thing.. money. If you think it's ok to send people off to war for control of resources, manipulate the government for your own greed, destroy the environment for profit then hey, you're entitled to your opinion. Money should always take a back seat to life.

Thank you for necroing this. I'm not getting sucked into a dumb argument with an ignorant person.
-
It was up on the list. I didn't realize I had necroed it. Actually I thought my response was even keel. Anyways have a good one.
-
Obvious dumb republican is obvious Corporations do not have the people in mind. They have money
-
Answer this one question.. Could you have wiped your ass today without the help of a corporation?
-
Or be posting on these forums
-
Corporations are not people. Not by a long shot.
-
They are people! If they are not, what are they? Is the church not people? Are the Boy Scouts not people? Is pied piper not people? Is America not people? We give our voice AND money to all of these. When you buy a coke.. You give coca cola money and support. When they buy a lobbyist with that money, you are buying that lobbyist with your money.

Edited by Britton: 6/14/2015 12:05:52 AMCorporations and organizations are not people. They are corporations and organizations and must be treated as such. This isn't difficult.
-
The Supreme Court seems to agree with me on this one
-
Edited by Britton: 6/14/2015 12:41:16 AMAnd the supreme Court was objectively wrong.
-
Don't think you used the word objectively right there. By me sharing the same opinion as the court you would call my argument invalid? Do you really not value anyone's opinion that is different?
-
I don't value opinion. I value information. Let me ask you a question. Did you agree with the banks, auto manufacturers and wallstreet getting huge government bailouts?
-
Nope, they should have been allowed to fail. They naturally would have been replaced by a better version of themselves.
-
Congrats. Your belief that corporations are people is at direct odds with your dislike of the bailouts.
-
How? Please help me because I don't see it.
-
Basically, by legally considering corporations people you entitle them to some legal rights that people also have; like government support when you crash and burn.
-
Individuals shouldn't get "bailed out" in my opinion either. I forget.. Who said, "ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country" ?
-
JFK. My point is, you need to understand the repercussions of each individual stance before you make it. The stance that corporations are people resulted in massive bailouts that that you and I are both against. That's the biggest reason I don't think corporations should be considered people at all.
-
I don't see how the two are mutually exclusive.. Corporations should be allowed to donate money to campaigns. Corporations should not receive government money when they fail.
-
Edited by Britton: 6/14/2015 2:02:06 AMSure they can donate. But not these ungodly amounts so that politicians need to rely on them, and as result, cater to them.
-
How about term limits then? Maybe the problem is the career politicians who's goal is to reelected. (I'm done btw, third period just started)
