oh ok. I went by there and it was super inactive. I didn't know this was a locked-out thread. Not ignoring, just trying to make this plot work. The PMC not being a PMC kinda ruins it...
I can set up the plot real quick for you though: A corporate conglomerate acting through a front, a terrorist group called the Hollows, created the Pine Bluff bioweapon, which is the virus that keeps showing up. It is spread by touch and rapidly eats through flesh, which strengthens the individual strains. The Perthians ran afoul of the Hollows back in Varcoe, and now they have been hunting them, using old Imperial tech and ships. The conglomerate, Ivard Corporation, is attempting a hostile takeover of Venom, in order to expand their operations. This WAS going to be the part where Ivard hired Venom troops to transport samples of the virus, in order to judge the unit's capabilities. Unfortunately, the whole thing with Venom not taking outside contracts ruins the rest of the plot, wherein the virus breaks containment and the ship carrying crashes on Perth Aleph. That's the point at which the Perthians send the first shuttle with samples, trying to figure out why Venom troops were onboard the ship. That shuttle's samples also break containment, and so it crashes and is destroyed by Venom troops after the virus' effects are revealed. 2 days later, another Perthian shuttle brings back the remains of the Venom troopers, hoping that Venom medical staff will know what's going on.
