Trials emblem means nothing
I think it's dumb when people specify that you need to have the flawless emblem in order to be invited. I've seen plenty with that emblem with worse stats than me.

I have a .95 k/d in trials and I've Lighthoused 4 times, all with pickup LFG groups. Only played for 2 hrs this week, but it'll be 5-6 total flawless runs by Tuesday with any luck. Communication / Strategy / Being a team player all factor into your ability to go flawless, more than your k/d, within reason. Example: there's 2 players on LFG. One has a 1.7 k/d and has been to the lighthouse 0 times. The other has a 1 k/d but has been to the lighthouse 6 times with pickup LFG groups. Who do you think i'm taking?

It's the best indicator we have though, not because it's reliable, but because everything else means even less. Level is easy, grimoire just means more play time, and unless you want to bother to look up everyone's K/D, that's also out of the question. The only challenging games I've had in ToO so far were against other emblems. Everyone else we 5-0'd or 5-1'd them.

When you have to carry people with that emblem I laugh at how they either DC or lag switched to get it.

I agree. One of my friends went to the lighthouse 6 or 7 times. He said emblems do not mean anything. We wrecked a flawless team 5-0.

2 RepliesNone of the emblems in the game mean anything at all, anyone can get them with enough time playing the game. they do not mean you are good at the game at all. Those who demand others have them are just being stupid wannabe elites thinking that having the emblem means something about how good a player may be, when that player could have been carried and got that emblem with out even having to really try for it. same for all the faction emblems, same for all the raid emblems. none of them really mean anything.

Most people like it as a scare factor. It's more intimidating going up against a team of them. I personally would rather have everyone use the iron banner emblem.

16 RepliesMe and my group went in and got flawless with no boons as level 30s against a bunch of try hard 34s. The flawless emblem just proves that 90% of crucible players are bad.

1 ReplyMost good players already went back to the emblems they used before, I went back to the default class emblems, the trials emblem is nothing special anymore it just feels like you're showing off.

My team and I 5-0d many teams with those emblems. They don't really mean much. A lot of people get carried. Others cheat.

I have found that with a full team of emblems you get free wins from people leaving.

3 RepliesI wouldn't say it means nothing. I would say that it means you are at least able to be carried. Sadly, some people are so bad that they are almost impossible to carry to a gold package let alone to Mercury. As for people with demands on LFG, I have no problems with it. A lot of people have more than enough Etheric Lights at this point so all they are playing for are those elemental primaries. Do you like having your time wasted? Some of you people are always saying that you have limited time due to jobs and families so you should understand that some people don't want to have their time go to waste by a non-flawless run. Also, do you not want to try to maximize your chances of success when you have a specific goal you're trying to accomplish? If you want to just want to get into a group then start your own and just take anyone. But I am guessing that a lot of the people complaining about this because they want to get into good groups and get carried. Just to be clear, I have gone flawless and don't really care about doing it again. I'll only play if Vance is selling an item with specific perks and stats that I want or if a friend needs help. I'll list myself on LFG with my guns and my KD. Whoever sends me an invite, I'll play with them. If things are going very badly then I'll bail early so we can all stop wasting our time. I am not picky by any means. But I can sympathize with people who don't want to waste their time and want to maximize their chances of success.

1 ReplyWas playing elimination last night for some practice and two guys on my team had the emblems but they sucked. One for sniper at the beginning of every single round without fail lol.

When I get a team of three emblems I know it will be an easy win. The big thing you have to watch for is when they have matching emblems and shaders, I don't know why.

I completely agree. I play rumble most days and I've gotten quite a few sum of all tears against full lobbies with emblems and I'm not even that good

I guess for some people they are proud they managed to get to lighthouse and show it off with the emblem. I don't think it mean you are better then someone else at all. I'm sure there is plenty of great players who still ain't got there as just been playing with friends who are not as good.

A lot of people have been getting carried sadly, for money and for more viewers in twitch, I have mixed feelings about it because I want people to be able to enjoy it and have the experience but on the other hand they didn't really earn it if they got carried and wouldn't have been able to without it.

The trials is a joke anyways. Everyone uses thorn. Lvl advantages? How? Everyone is the same lvl. I don't know how I've stuck with destiny since day 1. They should rename the destiny franchise to Disappointment. Their track record is a constant disappointment. Whether it's the so called bullshit non lvl advantages, or the various different weapons that do the same exact dmg. Example: jewel of osiris vs 365 Fatebringer. Same impact. Same dmg. Why do they think that by adding in more lvls with a dlc is a bad idea? Is having diversity and variety such a bad thing. If they added 10 lvls with each dlc there would be a variety of different lvl players in the trials and iron banner. Some people would hit the max lvl before others but there would be a bigger gap in lvls to where your lvl would actually mean something. Even if you're a lvl 34 against a lvl 30. That lvl 30 can still kill you just as fast. 3 shot thorn. They should have a debuff applied to them. 10% dmg deduction per lvl. And also take 10% more dmg when you shoot them. That would be the incentive to hit higher lvls. Am I the only one thinks that that's how a lvl advantage type of game shouldve been produced?

1 ReplyI stopped wearing mine on my Titan. Everyone has it now, at least it feels like it. So many people got carried/paid to get carried through a flawless Trials passage it's ridiculous.

2 RepliesAgreed I've been to the light house 6-7 times I am actually good at Pvp and I believe that I deserve MY EMBLEM, but there are a lot of people that do not whatsoever deserve the emblem and I've played with and against that have the exotic emblem that suck and I feel bad for the people that don't have it because nobody wants to do it with Someone that hasn't gone flawless before.
