I think "nerfing" skolas was actually a way of buffing him... Without a burn, you can no longer just run left and kill him in 60 seconds. Now we have to actually worry about the adds and run the map while fighting him instead of just burning him with snipers and ghorns and then defusing mines effortlessly when he's dead

Yep, not actually a nerf but the battle is "fun" now :) Have to actually play through all of the various mechanics which makes it an interesting challenge.

6 RepliesIt's not a nerf. Now you have to deal with the entire mechanic of the fight the way Bungie wants you to, which is pretty much [i]always[/i] the harder way.

3 RepliesYou can't nerf an encounter which lasts 1 minute max and all you need is 1 gun maxed and 1 subclass maxed. It may not be hard as doing Skolas legit on Solar or Arc burn, but no longer will you need to sit and wait for your bubble and heavy ammo synth to charge just so you can go left and unload your lack of skill on skolas. I'm happy and unhappy, happy they made it so you will most likely have to use mechanics and unhappy they moved burns as I was unable to beat skolas on arc burn legitimately :(

5 RepliesBased on the knowledge that when nightfalls and weekly's were the same and there was a burn on the nightfall and none on the weekly, the nightfall was easier. This is a bit different because they reduced his health. I don't think it will be easier.

Also "playtimes are tracking much longer than intended" according to bungie. Which makes me think they expected Poe to be raid length. Like maybe half hour to an hour but I've heard of people taking six hours. It's a business. You can't sell a product that you're customers stop enjoying and expect to retain those customers.

Have you even played it yet? It's actually fun and takes teamwork instead of spamming gallys or what ever weapon is the burn that week.

Did it last night with actually working the mechanics and it's more fun. Harder? Not really but play it how it was meant to be played

I haven't done 35 PoE and I don't want him to be nerfed. But at least bungie ain't doing for the crybabies.
