I've noticed a real pattern in the House of Wolves - The best PvE weapons can only be obtained in PvP: 1. Scout Rifle - The best PvE Scout Rifle is [b]The Scholar (Adept)[/b]. It has the highest impact of any Scout Rifle in the game (tied with The Aries Nemesis X4, Badger CCL, and Gheleon's Demise). [b]This weapon can only be obtained with an elemental damage type by randomly getting lucky after going flawlessly 9-0 in Trials of Osiris. [/b]The comparable elemental damage scout rifle from Skolas has about half of the impact and worse perks. 2. Hand Cannon - The best PvE Solar or Void Hand Cannon is [b]The Jewel of Osiris (Adept)[/b]. It has more impact than the Word of Crota tying it with Fatebringer. [b]This weapon can only be obtained with an elemental damage type by randomly getting lucky after going flawlessly 9-0 in Trials of Osiris. [/b]The comparable elemental damage hand cannon from Skolas has equivalent impact, but perks much worse than The Jewel of Osiris. 3. Pulse Rifle - The best PvE Pulse Rifle is [b]The Messenger (Adept)[/b]. It has the highest impact of any Pulse Rifle in the game (tied with Red Death). [b]This weapon can only be obtained with an elemental damage type by randomly getting lucky after going flawlessly 9-0 in Trials of Osiris.[/b] The comparable elemental damage pusle rifle from Skolas has less impact and worse perks. 4. Auto Rifle - nerfed into non-existance, so who cares? But seriously - the Trials Auto Rifle has very high impact and good perks. And to make things even worse for the PvE players trying to get Skolas weapons - they don't even drop every time you beat him (I've killed Skolas 11 times to date and have only had 3 weapons drop - 2 scout rifles and 1 hand cannon). I love that you get great weapons from the Lighthouse for going flawlessly through the Trials, I'm just very surprised that the weapons for beating the hardest task in PvE gives such crappy weapons (it feels like Crota's End all over again).
