Hey, all. I've been going without shotguns in my inventory for a while, but after playing Iron Banner for the first time last week I've come to the conclusion that shotguns are necessary if I'm going to compete in the next IB. Xur is currently selling Universal Remote, so I'm wondering if I should spend most of my coins on it, or should I save my coins and hope for RNG to give me a better shotgun? The main problem I can see with Universal Remote is that it's taking up my primary slot. I would much prefer to use a scout rifle there with a close range special weapon. If Universal Remote is worth using I suppose I could equip a sniper rifle as my long range weapon. Well, what do you guys think? [b]Edit:[/b] Thanks for the replies, everyone. I've read your posts, weighed all of the advice, and I've decided to buy UR when I get home tonight. Plenty of you have commented on how much fun it is, so I figure that even if it doesn't work out for me in Crucible or IB (as some of you have suggested) I'll still have a fun weapon to play with in other game types.
