Your fine, don't worry. Might get some hate mail.

20 RepliesNo you won't. People are upset because they are just now noticing something that (almost no one uses it by the way) has been around since day 1. By their logic anything that helps you win faster is a no-no. Let me break it down for the people who will undoubtably go threw this post and say something along the lines of "YOU'RE WRONG" I tested it, and guess what? Turns out only complete and total retards will run into the swarm field. As it is really hard to hit them with the grenade so that it tracks, anyone with some pvp experience would know to avoid the strange glowing cluster. True you don't need the kill. IMPORTANT! you need armor with the ashes to asset perk for it to work IMPORTANT! You need to be using a subclass that is extremely bad for the current ToO map. IMPORTANT! You CAN NOT get a full recharge from one grenade. And if you are really reporting people for using something that has been a part of the game since it came out, you have no skill. Along with that point, those grenades are extremely easy to dodge or run away from. If you feel the urge to complain about it, do so. But don't report people for using a perk just because you can't compensate. I'm pretty sure most of you that complain about it kick their asses anyway. So stop talking about it hypocrites.

No. It is a part of the game. That would be like getting banned from GTA for driving a car.
-
Honestly I doubt it.

5 RepliesSwarm grenades suck dude. Use a trip mine.
-
No play as you please dude you paid the money. Just don't be a lag switch queer boy
-
I still prefer trip mine

Comment 420. Smoke Weed Everyday.

I don't think it's fair to ban you over their faulty design. But they can fix it by making it count as one grenade instead of many.
-
No you won't. It's Bungies fault for putting it in the game and unless they say otherwise, it is NOT a bannable offense.
-
Highly unlikely, really the only people that will get banned are those who are abusing the report system just because the enemy has a hunter with swarm grenades, it's quite sad really
-
-
You can't be banned for using something that was put into the game. Let all these -blam!-s keep whining about it
-
21 RepliesNope. Look at me for example; I like swarm grenades and the ahamkara gauntlets for hunters and there so happens to be a glitch where I get insta super. I don't like tripmines or incendiary grenades and I don't want to dismantle my exotic gauntlets. Trust me, this isn't bannable. This is like pushing Atheon off his platform. Wasn't cheating but it wasn't legit either. You know what else? It isn't bannable because it isn't cheating because it is part of a piece of armour. It is a broken perk. What if you get some cool legendary armour and it has that perk Ashes To Asset. Should you dismantle it? What if the stats like discipline, strength and intellect are just the way you like it? What if it is the only piece if gear that gives you 42 light?

1 ReplyNo, and the reason for that is because you are not exploiting anything, it's simply an oversight by Bungie. You're not quitting matches (also called fishing, picking and choosing you're opponents till you find someone you're better than, you all deserve a ban for that) and you're not exploiting 3rd party software or mods to gain an edge, you are simply using something in the game that is broken and needs to be fixed. It's feedback like yours that's helped Bungie to fix issues just like these. So don't sweat it!

I don't think so but it seems to have become the new thing for people to complain about. I have seen a few people say they're going to report people as cheaters for using them though. I don't know how the report feature translates across to actual bans but I should imagine you'd be safe since it's a feature of the game. Bungie can tell from the game data who is actually cheating (e.g. lag switchers) and who is just playing the game.

11 RepliesIf they do ban people for it, I'll organize and/or support a mass boycott. And I've been playing for nine months straight....
-
6 RepliesThey didn't ban ANYONE for glitching the templar, atheon or CROTA. People still cheese the bridge. It's bungie mistake so they will just patch it. As far as the ban hammer on to0 cheaters who switched characters , a warning was issued prior to the next event.
-
you'll get banned for shooting. be careful.
-
1 ReplyMight sound dumb but what is wrong with swarm grenades?
-
I've used them since day one
naw
-
Would i get banned if i use it in PvE? i would never do this in pvp and i don't like pvp as much as i used to ever since the auto rifle nerf.
-
Just don't use them with that exotic armpiece to be safe.
-
15 RepliesIf you have to ask I wouldn't do it. They banned people for simply backing out of matches before they started... so what makes you (or anyone for that matter) so sure that this won't be a bannable offense? Second question is: do you really need it? Really? Is it fun for you to ruin something that was made to be fun by exploiting bad coding? If it is, check your psyche... you might need help
-
Of course not. Who got banned for using the heavy ammo glitch? This whole "I'll ban you" furore is very depressing.
