PvP Sniper scope (only post if you consider yourself an above average PvP'er... no offense)
EDIT: Guys this post is 2 months old and I'm happily taken by a Pre-HOW efrideets with shortgaze/double down/fieldscout and snapshot/firefly. We're happy as ever together.
I only say this because if you are successful at PvP, then it must be working for you.
I want to know what scope you prefer for your sniper
- Mixed reviews... Seems like people that vote are in favor of ambush thus far, and the people that comment are in favor of shortgaze.
I must delve deeper into this debacle.

I would say I am above average although I don't snipe much. I use ambush. My Her Benevolence has ambush and shortgaze, but I prefer Ambush cause something about shortgaze just doesnt look right. The scope just feels weird to me.

7 RepliesI've honestly been trying to figure out why Ambush is preferred over Shortgaze. Both are the same zoom (0.5) except Shortgaze SL10 has +40 Aim Assist higher than Ambush.... so what is the appeal?

I suggest you pick something and stick to it. Shortgaze for me. You can do well with either scope. Just try to stick to one 90% of the time and you'll get good with it.

Any scope is fine to use for me at least. I do prefer shortgaze or ambush due to map size though when combined arms is around i switch it up and use all long range scopes. Sniping doesnt change much once you get used to using 5 or so snipers all with different scopes on the daily.

Ambush, but shortgaze is a close secondary. I actually rerolled my Her Benevolence because I had crappy scopes, I got insanely lucky and got the same exact perks but got a ambush scope.

I have used ambush since the start.I believe ambush is a great scope once you get familiar with the magnification of the scope which will help you drag and quick scope faster....same applies for shortgaze. Shortgaze is a very good scope and I feel I do get even more headshots with it due to increased aim assist. However I'm very comfortable using ambush and I like to stick to what's best for me as a whole. If I was to give anyone advice on how to get better,the first tips that come to mind: 1)Use a sniper medium to high impact with a decent aim assist. 2)Start off with a low sensitivity as in 3. 3)Snapshot is nice for quickscopes but not a must have. 4)Always aim at head level,makes it easier to drag scope. All I do is snipe in trials and other game modes,if you find you can't trust the info I have said check My stats their ok,I main my hunter. Remember the sniper is just as important as the scope.Try and go for a sniper like Longbow,LDR,Her Benevolence,Efirdeets Spear or the Supremacy if you have it.My personal favourite is longbow. Lower impact snipers leave to the un-revivable game modes.good luck.
