Proud to have been in [b]10 of the 378,511 fireteams[/b] to take him down before he gets nerfed to hell. Gotta get in 2 more runs before it becomes another easy 10 minute endgame boss.
R.I.P. - Skolas. One of the most challenging fights to come out of Destiny.

Edit: i just want to make this clear. When i say that the Skolas encounter is challenging, I'm referring to fighting him legitimately. I'm not talking about the nuke methods. Fighting Skolas legitimately is definitely one of the toughest fights in the game and now, with the endless spawning mobs being reduced and the fact that they don't kill you in two shots anymore, it is going to be much easier.
Edit 2: [b]Holy shiz! Over 1200 guardians have signed in saying they have beat him just in the last 24 hours. Most everyone has averaged somewhere around 4 or 5 victories! That is quite a large representation off the amount of people who have beaten it in the numbers Bungie posted yesterday! Well done Guardians! [/b]

Unless you get a good team Skolas can easily waste 1.5hours of your time. Had a couple so-so teams and wasted 2.5 hours until i got him finished with my titan. I have everything i need to wipe him out fast on solar On my hunter i landed with a couple young highschool kids that were good. We wiped MAYBE 5 times and nailed it the last time. To my credit i was dying less than the other two haha, a very rare case indeed. I'm pretty average skill in pve and poor skill in pvp *this "nerf" to skolas is not going to be a nerf. We'll have different modifiers and even bringing his health down a third will still make it a very tough fight. Finally using all those synths i've stocked up. Guess i actually have something to buy from xur. I'm down to about 300 heavy now

Finally did it this morning. I can sign! No gun dropped :( but got cipher emblem shader etc. Lol was one hell of a pain but was fun

Have beaten him all 12 times. Managed to bag me the auto and scout in arc, and the pulse in void. Still looking for the hand cannon in solar though.

I was able to select a weapon from Varkis and both bounties popped up, then I completed the level 34 and opened the big chest and got two ciphers. I gave the ciphers to Varkis and now I'm waiting for him to call me. I've heard people say that if you get two bounties its a glitch and Varkis will never call you........

Beat him week 1 and week 3. Sadly this DLC hasn't kept my attention long, so that might be the only times I kill Skolas.
