Proud to have been in [b]10 of the 378,511 fireteams[/b] to take him down before he gets nerfed to hell. Gotta get in 2 more runs before it becomes another easy 10 minute endgame boss.
R.I.P. - Skolas. One of the most challenging fights to come out of Destiny.

Edit: i just want to make this clear. When i say that the Skolas encounter is challenging, I'm referring to fighting him legitimately. I'm not talking about the nuke methods. Fighting Skolas legitimately is definitely one of the toughest fights in the game and now, with the endless spawning mobs being reduced and the fact that they don't kill you in two shots anymore, it is going to be much easier.
Edit 2: [b]Holy shiz! Over 1200 guardians have signed in saying they have beat him just in the last 24 hours. Most everyone has averaged somewhere around 4 or 5 victories! That is quite a large representation off the amount of people who have beaten it in the numbers Bungie posted yesterday! Well done Guardians! [/b]

I beat this every damn week since it got released. With 3 characters. All three classes. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW SO MANY PEOPLE WEREN'T ABLE TO FINISH IT. To the point where they lowered his health and removed burns? Screw you guys and your failed self.

It's actually easier after you learn the mechanics and checkpoints, you can just take it easy and eventually he'll die, it's easier

yep.. every week all three characters.. beat him yesterday for the first time post patch... not too bad, just took a lil longer

I beat him pre nerf, but honestly I think it's much more fun now. It's more, and less, challenging in the right ways. You can now maneuver the map without 2 shots from a dreg blowing out your colon. It's still necessary to use caution and defend yourself but it's not almost impossible. Also you're not being endlessly swarmed with bad guys. There's breathing room to regroup and rearm. Skolas also doesn't one shot you by accident from across the map. Teamwork and coordination are still required but now it's fun challenging, not damn near impossible if everything doesn't go absolutely perfect challenging.

Beat him 8 times pre nerf. I didn't bother with the one in arc week because of iron banana. I don't need to beat him anymore since I have all the burn primaries and exotic weapons now.

Got my pre-nerf kills in. Might not even go and fight him anymore.

Takes much less time, and you don't get 1 shotted from anything about 25 min to beat, sure you could have nuked him in 30 sec but how many times did you have to wipe and do ammo runs, and wait for synths.
