Is stacking it to get frequent golden guns going to get the player banned?
Edit: I guess the better question is should you use it in crucible?

3 RepliesI've been posting this in other threads about Swarm grenades for the sake of discussion.
Hear me out: I don't think Swarm grenade is bugged, I think Ashes to Assets is. As far as I know and have seen, Ashes to Assets is the only armor ability that stacks on itself. I've never seen Fastball stack, I've never seen Switchblade stack, I've never seen Light the Blade stack. I mean, if someone can show that I'm wrong, I'm all ears. As for Swarm grenades, I actually think they're doing exactly what they're supposed to do, because otherwise, Swarm grenades suck. In PvE against groups, you're better off with Incendiary grenade, against single targets and PvP you're normally better off with Tripmines. So, yeah, I think they made a grenade that tickles your enemies but has the side effect of charging your super, which I think is a fair trade off. I've started using Swarm grenade in PvE just for super charging. Using Swarm grenade in PvP this way is really only worth your while if you're stacking Ashes to Assets, which requires you to blow your exotic slot on Young Ahamkara Spine, which, as far as I know, is the only Glove that gets Ashes to Assets (again, if I'm wrong, please let me know). I tested this out this morning in patrol. Running a 100% Intellect build with Celestial Nighthawk, I hit 3 enemies with Swarm grenade. My super bar jumped up by about a third. I switched gear, stacking Ashes to Assets with a helmet and Young Ahamkara spine. Now my Intellect is around 56%. I reset my super, wait for the same three enemies to spawn, use a swarm grenade on them. My super bar almost fills up completely. With higher Intellect, it almost certainly would've filled it up. Next, I played two games of Control with Ashes to Assets stacked. You know what happened? I lost. Twice. The Swarm grenade trick only works if you hit your target and live. Problem is, Swarm grenades are terrible in PvP. They take a second to lock on and tickle single targets at best. Meanwhile, you're exposed to all their return fire, and if they kill you, you don't get your super charge. All in all, I think I only got one extra super per game, because I'm normally running a 100% intellect build with Gunfighter anyways. In every situation I used the Swarm grenade, I would've been better off with a Tripmine and not wasting my exotic on YAS. Regardless, it's not an offense worth banning anyone over. If Bungie fixes anything, I sincerely hope it's just stopping Ashes to Assets from stacking, because, otherwise, what purpose do Swarm grenades fill? TL, DR: Ashes to Assets is bugged, not Swarm grenades.
"You can only have one of each different mod type, so if you find a reduced melee recovery piece, a second won’t reduce your recovery time further. The same goes for a grenade throwing distance boost or a health from orbs bonus. The exception to this rule is the ammo inventory bonuses." http://planetdestiny.com/guide-armor-mods/

Hope not. I need to go flawless. First

3 RepliesThe funny part is, no one even cared about this before some video showing two examples of it got posted. Now everyone is up in arms about it. How often do you get killed by a swarm grenade in PvP? It has to be one of the worst grenades in the entire game, and is pretty easy to avoid. I main a hunter and never use swarm grenades because they just are not that effective. Is it cheap for people to run around spamming swarms hoping to have them proc for quicker golden gun? Yes, it prob is cheap. Is it worth of a ban? No f'ing way. If you see the swarm, just dont walk into it. Pretty easy to avoid. Also, the swarm has to kill you, and then proc the rest of them to charge their super. after 1-2 hits of it, you should be running anyway.

16 RepliesShould warlocks with 100% intellect and bad juju with obsidian mind be banned?
-
No u can't be banned for using glitches unless specified but people got banned for backing from trials and that banned people I believe.
-
As long as people are using thorn as a crutch, I'll be using the glitch to silence them.
-
I won't use it in crucible... That's just pathetic and lame.
-
2 RepliesWhy does everyone talk about this like it's cheating? It's using perks that Bungie put in the game for just that purpose. If you keep dying because you run into someone with golden gun, don't blame them. Man, what the hell is wrong with people that they can't stand losing sometimes. Get a grip.
-
1 Replyi think one of the biggest hacks at the moment is with the thorn. All you need to do it while in game switch to another weapon like the vex then back to thorn.. your next shot will do 112 crit damage when it usually does 84

People that are against this probably agree that Final Round is an exploit as well. Bunkie provides the playing field rules and we abide by them until they patch/alter it. Deal with it.
-
To be honest, I prefer trip mine anyway for pvp. Won't catch me trying to use that bug.

-
No one will get banned. And if you need to use it for crucible then go ahead. I can't aim for crap so unlimited GG won't help me ;P I'll be running Bladedancer. But you can't get banned for using perks in combination with grenades.
-
This has been true SOME of the time for awhile now. Note that it does not wok every time and now a pleasant surprise will be nerfed. Oh well, bound to happen.
-
Not even going to attempt trials. I mean... What's the point?
-
1 ReplyEdited by Yeasty Quadge: 6/12/2015 7:24:35 AMI fail to see how they will justify banning people for this easy (sometimes mistakenly) used exploit. It's bungies fault and they need to fix it, until then it's just annoying
-
Can someone explain?
-
2 RepliesIs the Titan bubble "strategy" getting people banned? Is The Last Word scoring extra crit damage while ADS getting people banned? Is Bad JuJu/Obsidian Mind getting people banned? Banning the people changing characters was a straight-up exploit. Those people manipulated the win/loss system. A lot of perks stack, this one should not be any different.
-
Are people calling this a glitch? Why? People shouldn't be banned for some shit like that..
-
Heyyyyyyyyyy yiiiiikes
-
5 RepliesWhy would you post about this? I never knew about this till now personally I won't use it but other people will exploit it like crazy
-
3 RepliesWhat are what are you doin?
-
2 Repliesit needs a fix this clearly isn't something they intended
-
3 RepliesLol I've been using the helm and gauntlets combo both with the ashes to asset perk but didn't know this so never used the scatter grenade. Crazy how no one notices these things.
-
You talking about equipping an AtA Helmet and Spine? Couldn't get it to work as well in PvP as it does in PVE, but it's still fast.

2 RepliesI found out about this all by myself a while back, i feel special.
