Here's the catch to that the only way to dupe is to duel I highly doubt they will have that

Yes because I'm sure the trading system in Borderlands and each bit of coding to accompany it would be exactly identical to the theoretical Destiny system.

The hole in the system is the ability to duel for a weapon then unequip and drop said weapon I don't think if they make trading it will include dueling

What I'm saying is that in just about every trading system you can see in games, somebody has found and utilized a way to exploit it. Bungie wouldn't have to implement dueling, as Borderlands was an example of outcome, not of method.
