The fleet disperses as quickly as it arrived, and the mobile fortifications are gone as well. Suddenly, a group of smaller craft detach from the larger ships and ram into the area around the firebase, in a seemingly random pattern. The small craft explode, but from one crash site, a large pulse of electromagnetic energy begins to appear.

*all craft are intercepted prior to getting within 10 miles of the base, and are shot down by fighter jets and AA encampments. From the bay, a single shot echoes across the base, you see a streak of light shoot into the atmosphere. I disappear, and within moment, a hail of white-hot depleted uranium shards rain down upon your encampment, vaporizing everything within 25 miles in a horizontal area. The pulse only knocks the base's external shielding down to half-health. A barrage of AA lights up any of your craft in the air and atmosphere, severely damaging and killing many. Artillery lights up the sky as 16in high explosive shells decimate anything left on the ground, soldiers begin mobilizing immediately. A second shard is fired, ripping into the craft above, tearing the engines apart as it melts though.*
