Why do you watch streamers?
I don't get it. Just play the game yourself. Why are there people that seriously make money for playing a game. They don't even work for a game company. That is sad...
Edit: Fair enough, I can admit when I'm wrong. I don't like curling either but I can understand that some people do. My apologies. To each their own.
Edit 2: Also may be a generational thing as someone pointed out. I'm 32, and I think it's a younger man's thing. Still to each their own though

Why watch movies about things that interest you when you could go out and do those interesting things?? Because it's entertaining to watch others do what we're interested in.

I am poor. I want a PS4 but can't afford one right now. Bloodborne looks super awesome. I want to play it, but I can't. But I can watch somebody else play it, and enjoy their experiences until I can make my own. I can also watch people play the games I am interested in on the 360 and see if I might like it.

To pass the time at work when it's slow. I can't exactly play Destiny at work. I don't watch streamers at home though, since I can play the game then.

I'm just about 30, and I think the streaming thing is kind of generational. I don't understand it at all, but that's probably due to the memories I have as a kid. I'm sure most people my age have the same memory. Sitting watching your one douche bag friend play and refuse to give up the controller because it wasn't his fault he died that time. No online games, split screen was pretty horrible so we used to just take turns. Streaming reminds me of that. Only now your douchebag friend keeps the controller the whole time and you never get to play.

I don't understand watching it unless I'm trying to get a first glimpse at a game or something. However, I can assure you, If I could make a reasonable amount of money for playing it, I would do so with no hesitation.

Call me old at 32 but I will [i]never[/i] understand this. Last time I cared to watch anyone else play a video game was CE LAN games in college. And that was more about the camaraderie-- plus we had beer. If I'm going to sit in front of a TV or monitor for leisure hear days then I want to either be 1) actively playing a game 2) watching something with a plot and well written characters 3) watching a sport played by pro athletes. I'd rather get plowed over by a Hive drop ship than watch anyone sit in front of a webcam and play a video game -- no matter how good or funny they are.

Well, I'm a moderator in a few channels, so there's that. I enjoy watching because I meet new people and we end up being friends. Me and the streamer I watch are like bros, I'm bros with the other mods too. We're like a bro family, a bromily, if you will.

I watch KackisHD pretty often just because I pretty actively play with him as well, so it's fun to joke with the stream while playing.

I don't. I mean I've tried but I always lose interest in the first 30 seconds. Even just yesterday I tried, but the sound of the diarrhea purring between my butt checks as I sat on the toilet with a bad case of the explosive shiz caught my attention and ended up being more entertaining

2 RepliesBecause it's entertaining, why watch football when you can just go play it? Why watch car shows when you can just build your own junker into something nice? Get where I'm going with this, I don't understand how people get flak for watching video game streams but have no quarrels with anything else being watched when you could go do it yourself. I enjoy watching it, guys like rooster teeth or play games and game modes I wouldn't think of or get into weird antics that are just funny. It's not always about watching the game, sometimes I watch a streamer for the commentary and entertainment value of what they are doing.

These guys are good players and I like to see how they react to different situations and map tactics. I always like to learn to improve and watching decent players is one way
