Question about 35 poe
I've been slacking this dlc. (Work and school)
Ive been seeing a lot of posts talking about how long it takes to beat skolas on level 35... I've personally only had the oppurtunity to run the 32. My question is, is it really that difficult? Or is it kinda like doing vog for the first time and it's just gonna take hours to figure out what the hells going on?... Gotta admit when I read that it takes some people 8-10 hours to complete... That's a turn off Lol.

It all depends on your team. If you have weak links it can take a while. I have had it range from 2 min to 1 hour.

When the DLC first dropped it too my team 4 hours to clear it. We killed him a bunch of times but the game glitches. There's enough strategies out there to beat him in seconds or minutes.

I spent a few hours last night on him with 1 guy that didn't have upgraded weapons. After we beat him he didn't even drop anything for me. 1 guy got an elder cipher and that's it.

Sniper method works great, it's just everybody needs to play their part and deal a sufficient amount of damage. If one person dies it becomes very difficult or if somebody keeps missing. Three 365 Black Hammer do plenty of damage on solar. It's all about timing, killing the servitor and then getting those initial shots off and then keeping the rhythm. Weapons of Light helps a lot too. Once he's below half health and the mines activate, run up the stairs and Rocket the absolute crap out of him. May take a few tries but don't sit around waiting for supers and ammo, instead head to the right, and kill vandals, captains and dregs etc picking up ammo etc. Technically, you should have 7 rockets anyway, and shouldn't lose too much black Hammer ammo. Super is the only thing. Once the first mine has activated the blade dancer should fire a rocket and run to the mine while the other two finish him off and then join blade dancer in capturing mines. It's a bit of a challenge and requires team work. Just enjoy it and don't get frustrated. It will take around 35-45 mins to get to boss, so have two hours spare and you'll be fine

It's that annoying there is no strategy on solar burn just kill him as fast as possible or your probably gonna die.

The time consuming part is the rounds before him. Skolas can be a pain if you don't have good weapons that can take his health down quickly.

1 ReplyI spent 10 minutes on Skolas, and I've spent an hour or two on Skolas. He's a pain, one small slip can -blam!- you over.

It's freaking hard if you play with the wrong people, if you don't have a gjallarhorn or good weapons at least learn strategies and mechanics and don't be asking what we have to do, but if you and your teammates are experienced it's super easy, I beat skolas in 10 minutes yesterday.

3 RepliesIt's easy if you are lvl 34 with max weapons. Those that struggle usually don't have max weapons. I joined a group Monday night to help them before the reset. Neither of them had 365 weapons and the bladedancer didnt even have his characters skill tree maxed out. It was void burn so you obviously want Void weapons and one guy kept using Ghorn bc "it's better".

3 RepliesIt's a struggle for casuals as they don't know how to jump backwards and shoot. I laugh so hard at how LFG players die during my Poe runs.

It takes me 1.30 hrs on average for the whole thing.

8 RepliesIf it takes a group 8-10 hours to complete they suck ass. Me and my buddies beat Skolas last night in about 2 minutes.

At the most takes me 5 minutes. Yes It's like VoG.. In a way. Play with a bad team (usually the stubborn angered bad kids) and you will spend hours. Play with people who know what to do and instruct you since you are new, you will do fine.

It's never taken my group 8 hours. But yesterday we seemed to have a bitch of a time doing it. And that was everything before skolas, we got him down using the ghorn but only because we just wanted to finish it by then. I'd say it just depends on if everyone is on their game that night. One stupid act can cause a wipe and will either lead to another mistake or getting it right. Hobgoblins are the worst for this week, one shoting your team from across the map.
