Right, he used to be a Wolf. He sent you to kill wolves and their leader (Skolas). I don't think he really cares about other wolves anymore. Unless he's playing everyone b

He was always Judgment, but had to pick a side when they had their own Collapse because the Judgment guys who didn't were slaughtered. He's just directly saying what Skolas was, not trying to cheer Skolas on. At least I'm pretty sure.

Not to be pedantic, but Variks was, and is still part of House Of Judgement. House of Judgement lived among the other Houses without a Kell of their own. So, while Variks was among the House of Wolves, and he certainly betrayed them, it would be inaccurate to say he was a Wolf.
