A New Name, For An Old Thread
so this original thread was made months ago around the exact day the price tag dropped
a lot has changed since then, but some of my views remain the same
i have already pre-ordered this game, and truth be told, i had already pre-ordered it around the time this post was made
...
just because bungie has us in the palm of their hands doesn't mean we need to jump when told to
we have every right to display our opinions

I would pay. I'm really happy with the HoW expansion and what it brought to the table. If its bigger than this, with more exotics etc. I would definitely pay $40. I'm quite happy w Destiny atm.

"Destiny" die-hards, a.k.a. people hopelessly addicted to "Destiny", a.k.a. the 20% of players who have completed a raid, a.k.a. a steadily shrinking minority of the active player base. The forum goers are the canary in the coal mine. If we don't buy The Taken King for $40, you better believe the non-forum goers won't buy it for $40. Based on the poll results, I estimate the The Taken King will sell about half as well as the retail release.

Kinda looks like 70% will pay $40. Also if it's twice the size of the first two dlc's which it is supposed to be then yeah it'll cost more. I'll do like I have with every dlc and wait until I know the details before I buy anything.

You have no idea what it takes to have a company like bungie. Think of all the money they have to spend on there rent computers consoles payroll promotions and all the hrs of work. O yeah dont forget there taxes they must pay its got to be in the millions.
