so this original thread was made months ago around the exact day the price tag dropped
a lot has changed since then, but some of my views remain the same
i have already pre-ordered this game, and truth be told, i had already pre-ordered it around the time this post was made
...
just because bungie has us in the palm of their hands doesn't mean we need to jump when told to
we have every right to display our opinions

Why is this back at the top again? And this was before my necrobump

Edited by Buicy Jooty: 8/20/2015 4:03:50 AMIf you're part of the 99% you're born in debt, you die in debt. What's $40 for hours upon hours of entertainment in the grand scheme? I'm not wealthy by any means, but not desolate either! I'll be sure to pass 40 bones bungie's way to expand on a game I have loved from the get-go.

2 RepliesMost expensive dlc of all time. And it's not even worth it lol.

A FÛCKING SWORD

You can always find bucks in the forest if you tried, just bring your thorn and go hunting simple as that. I have a lot of bucks.
-
Will pay but not paying 20$ just to dance like a noob

13 RepliesEdited by BrickySkydiver0: 8/18/2015 4:27:17 PMWHAT!!!! 69% ACTUALLY GOING TO PAY 40 DOLLAR!!!! WE ALREADY SPENT 100 DOLLAR, NOOBIES ONLY PAY 60 DOLLAR FOR EVERYTHING!!!
-
1 Reply40 seems fair for the the amount of content being added. I wouldn't pay more though. If the content sucks, then I will take the loss, I still have 700 hours invested, a couple hundred more isn't really a bad loss IMO. That's how buying/updating video games works these days.

6 RepliesI like how people see this as a problem but are willing to spend $20 a dlc to get 4 multi-player maps in a call of duty
-
1 ReplyEdited by Rise of Xerxes: 8/20/2015 2:31:45 AMwhy not pay 40 sure itd be great if it was less than 40 but from the prespective of someone who has over 1k hours ive got way more than 100 dollars out of this game most games would only last to around the ~100 hour mark so that would be 60x10 for a total of 600 dollars for 6 other games i wouldnt even play that long

1 ReplyLol $80 no ragrats
-
3 RepliesIt's no different than people buying CoD every year. Same game different look.
-
No one is going to buy it for $20. Lol
-
So only 71% spoke the truth.
-
I'm paying 80. Because I like the game enough to pay for the collectors edition.
-
40 bucks is chump change, 40bucks is nothing for the amount of fun you will have, I could wipe my butt with 40 bucks and would have no problem flushing the two twenties down the toilet, go mow two damn lawns. Crying over 40bucks...priceless.
-
Paying $60 for all 3
-
Nope. Lost me. No appreciation for Year One players. Other AAA games coming soon make it easy to walk away (plus I was season pass). Perfect timing for Halo 5, Fallout 4 and Star Wars!!
-
1 ReplyWe're on the Destiny forums. I think it's a safe bet that we'd pay for the DLC.
-
2 RepliesOne way i see it. Were supposedly getting more PvE content than HOW and TDB so paying more could be fair, add in the new subclasses, and more potential events and content (something ive heard not confirmed) coming for free later on as an addition to TTK
-
1 Reply40 dollar bucks huh?
-
4 RepliesWhy no option for "I already paid $80 for the collector's edition"? That's what I pick.
-
Readying money to throw at the screen
-
Yeh I'll pay 40$. 65$, no thanks. Stupid uk pricing...

Edited by Dragn: 8/18/2015 6:27:12 PMThe dlc "The Taken King" ... "Taken" = Bungie ....King = money... (A 'King's' ransom, King's treasure...) Bungie is laughing at us... Bungie, who's dark Master is Activision, has 'taken' us for ever penny they can get... It's not even hard for them... I'm over here just throwing cash at my screen... I have no idea where it goes... But another $40 to play Destiny... I don't need to eat, I need to play ... It's my Destiny!
