Cain and Abel
Today me and my friends was playing TS and got totally mind blown when we was literally destroyed. And i don't mean 4 shots, shotguns and snipes. I mean getting killed out of no where. And when the match was over one of the guys spoke up to his team and said that is what Cain and Abel does for you. WTF? I know what Cain and Abel is and i despise it but still. What the hell is he talking about?

It's been happening alot lately. Even in Team Doubles my friend got booted out while we was playing against a 50 booster and a 45. He had to call his ISP and they said that his ip had gotten flooded and that he needed to increase his firewalls.

Cain and Abel are programs that alot of people use to hack, although i use it more for internet packet monitoring. So i can lock cheaters from connection to my router, and it can recover passwords that i have lost. Basically, it works how you use it and im not going to tell you how to hack, but yea, it can be used to hack.

Its one of the programs used when using a host booter.

All it does is sniff out all the IP addresses of people in the match, not the bridging. Bridging is done via the firewall, not Cain & Abel.

Cain and Abel is an ip sniffing program that the host/standbyer uses to detect all of the players ip addresses. He can then use this information to select which channels he wants to lag which results in the opposing team being lagged while the standbyer's team is uneffected. [Edited on 12.12.2008 8:54 AM PST]

This happens to me in some TS and BTB games. Odd thing is, it usually only happens when there is a '50' or 2 on the other team, not just generals, but anyone with a 50 rank. Would that be caused by this 'bridge' or ip packet thingy? Sorry, not tech minded, but I know when things seem suspicious during gameplay. [Edited on 12.12.2008 8:33 AM PST]

Cain and Abel is a tool many computer jobs use. It's used for password recovery of alot of things, password cracking, network sniffing (monitoring) and some other things. I don't use it much because I know of other tools that are just as good. They were probably messing with packet flows or some network settings.

Sorry i've been away but i have bronchitis really bad. coughing up blood tears me down. But we wasn't using it but right before the game ended one of my friends got pretty much booted from the game and returned to the main menu saying that he got disconnected.

Cain and Able is an IP sniffer. The program itself does nothing to the game but its what they do with the IP that alters the gameplay.

u can mess around with ppls connections with that program.. haha my buddy brought his laptop to school and used cain and abel on the schools internet.. he got expelled but no he doesnt do that on xbox live.. he was just seeing what his comp was capable of [Edited on 12.11.2008 3:27 AM PST]

I've tried em before, but I dont see how they relate to XBL

In the bible, Cain and Abel are the first and second sons of Adam and Eve, respectively. Cain later kills his brother Abel after God refuses to accept Cain's sacrifice and instead accepts Abel's.
