So I think there may be a contract or something preventing this but can we please just leave the last generation behind already. I don't mean take away anything from them but can we just add vault space to ps4 and Xbox one if the hardware is this issue. This would incentivize upgrading. Next gen players get a much needed space and last gen stays the same.
Some will complain about it being unfair, but come on bungie you've gotten yourselves Into bigger problems and we would already know the reason why and most would agree with it I think.
I don't know if it's possible, but now is the time to start moving away from the last generation.
Edit: apparently people can't read and figure out what I'm getting at without it being explicitly stated so I'll try to be as clear as I can.
This is to leave last generation behind on issues the consoles are not and never will be capable of
NOT leaving them behind in all aspects
Edit2: vault space is going to remain an issue with every installment. So to all those saying get over it delete stuff youre being ignorant. Even non collectors are having trouble now if they use more than one armor build and 3 different classes. As the game gets bigger it will only get worse

2 RepliesWhile I agree on you on being an incentive, it'd cause a rift with the playerbase that Activision and Bungie wouldn't want to cause. Some people can't afford to buy a new machine that isn't backwards compatible or lacks a decent library of games at the moment.

5 RepliesI mean why make games for last Gen and new gens any way? What's the point of buying a new console, if the old one can play same games. When I was younger, whenever a new system came out, they stopped making games for old ones. So why start doing this now? Essentially no point in buying new system

19 RepliesThey aren't giving you vault space because they don't want to you prick. Forgetting about old consoles won't give you the shit you want. Also -blam!- you for thinking that everyone who didn't want to buy the new consoles to save money should be left in the dust. If the 360 or PS3 can support it then they should get it. If they ever decided to do something cool with the "next gen" console abilities that old consoles can't support that would be another thing entirely and a good incentive to purchase a better console. But they didn't, and that would be the only thing old consoles users should be left out on.

Bump. Don't care about old consoles.

4 RepliesEdited by Yartoum: 6/8/2015 7:41:43 PMBungies comments about the vault space and last gen consoles said that it was the amout of data on the screen that older gen couldnt handle This would be solved if the went to a tabbed/page type system. Use the left and right bumpers to scroll through weapons page, armor page, materials page, ships/shader page. Plenty of games that work fine on old gen systems use this and have much larger inventory space then the small vault that Destiny provides This way it works on both gen systems and no one is left behind

I agree with the op. I bought ps4 and a game for the ps4. I didn't buy it for PS3 although I wish I had. Could have saved money on the console. No advantages to having the ps4 at all. Time to start applying the benefits of what we paid for to the games we buy

3 RepliesWhy don't you just try dismantling some stuff???
-
4 RepliesLol destiny was originally planned for 360 only until Microsoft bounced bungie
-
16 RepliesWhy should they just forget about the older consoles when a lot of their profit comes from that? They won't stop giving last gen consoles content until they are not making profit off them

6 RepliesYour taking it way too serious dumb nut shock is just a game you bobbler sit the -blam!- down and do something with your life stop complaining like a 5 year old kid use common sense
