Now that the dust has settled, which DLC from a PvE standpoint is more fun?
Also, if you previously commented somewhere else at launch in favor of one vs the other and you've changed your mind now, please tell us why.

Edited by Trooper8059: 6/10/2015 6:07:19 PMI actually can't believe I'm saying this, but I enjoyed the Dark Below more.

1 ReplyI chose the dark below. Purely because I have more fun playing with a 6 person group. HoW has split our group up a bit. But I still enjoy playing the prison.

1 Replythe dark below was dissapointing as fuaaaah.. -.-

1 ReplyHoW, hands down. Even without a raid, it still beats Crota and his End
-
1 ReplyI enjoy the Crota raid played legitimately much more than PoE. Though the Vault of Glass is much better than both.

1 ReplyThat -blam!-ing 11% XDD

1 Replyreally hope that they introduce a raid as good as or surpassing VoG.. its ridiculous how fun it still is, even this far into Destiny 👌
-
1 ReplyWhy rate it from just part of the game? HoW is a better expansion over all, hands down.

More fun. Like actually fun. Hmm. TDB by a hair. If HoW had a raid hands down it would be HoW. But the PoE is pretty stale and the fact the best gear this DLC comes from ToO, PoE is kind of pointless except for Etheric light, judgments chance, RNG adept primary, and RNG cipher bounties.

PvE - HoW ... Although poe only allows 3 man teams it is still fun and very intense! CE just didnt have enough stuff to do outside of the raid! Before the patch, chest farming was actually fun as hell!!! PvP - HoW....Just brought more stuff i.e. trials of osiris and queens stuff! Trials is fun if you have a fun team!
-
HoW However, Crota's End > PoE

11 RepliesTDB. I am personally not a fan at all of Prison of Elders. I love the 6 man raids.. But from a PvP standpoint I love HoW. I think Trials has been a huge success and I love the challenge and gameplay. Just my 2 cents!

I like HoW but there was nothing like running the sword in hard mode for the first time. I've been gaming since the 80s and there hasn't been anything like that in the history of gaming really.
-
From a PvE perspective, The Dark Below is far better than HoW. I dislike HoW so much that I wish I could remove it from the XB1 hard drive, but that isn't possible. The replay value of TBD is good, and the content is excellent for completing stacked bounties.

Edited by Penhoat: 6/9/2015 10:08:37 PMTDB had a nice raid. Crota was challenging, I liked it. The strike not so much, same for the story missions. HoW has PoE, which is on par for me with Crota. However the strike is really nice, loved the story missions. Then there's ToO, which is awesome.

For those checking this on their phones and can't see the counts, we're at roughly 900 to 100.

The only thing tdb did right was the abyss and a couple raid weapons. Other then that it was a flop imo.

3 Repliesseems like a lot of people missed the PvE part of the OP. TDB > HoW for PvE. why? chance at armor, weapons, exotics & mats every CHECKPOINT.

3 RepliesEdited by Hiddenmonkey10: 6/9/2015 10:14:08 PMYou're probably noting a very bizarre negative correlation between the votes and the comments. I'll explain this in a very simple manner. More people like HoW, it's great! However, there is a very minor subsection of the community that, mainly because of the lack of a raid on launch, believes DB was better. These people are what you'd call the "vocal minority." They know they're opinion isn't popular, therefore they make the most noise in order to hopefully sway the opinions of others. This works not only in forums, or videogames, but it's also commonly seen in politics. You may have seen me mention earlier the "lack of a raid on launch." I say on launch because Bungie, as of the POE reveal stream, mentioned that a raid for HoW would be revealed in the middle of summer. Whether or not this has changed, or they were misinformed, is completely unknown as of now. However, last I heard, they were still planning on adding in a raid for HoW.

1 ReplyVanilla pve was better from what I've heard

1 ReplyThe lack of a six player activity hurts the community but whatever. They don't care so why should we.
