Hello all. I'm really starting to enjoy playing PVP. I can't believe i even feel that way cause i use to f'en hate it so much. I kept on giving it a try and didn't give up and now it's starting to pay off. Of course my k/d doesn't prove too much to you now, but you should have seen it before!
So after saying all that I'm going to start keeping my eye out for a good hand cannon to re-forge and wanted to know, what are the best PVP perks i should look for? I want this gun to be a beast, suggestions?

Fwc fulcrum: final round with luck in the chamber and small bore

7 RepliesNo use in having a hand cannon that isn't TLW. Hand cannon exotics > everything

Hawkmoon, it's the direct counter to thorn and absolutely destroys at long range engagements.

2 RepliesIf you want to be good, but not be labeled as a jerk who has to use the cheapest/most annoying weapons in the game try and get a Hawkmoon. If you can't get one, The Last Word will do. It has a higher learning curve and doesn't do as good fresh out of the box (needs upgrades). Fatebringer is also good even though it's a legendary. Faster reload on precision kill and firefly are nice. After that all you should need is a chest piece that grants more ammo for hand cannons and gloves that increase reload speed. My VoG armor has these but I don't know if it's standard. I think boots can increase ammo cap too but I think that's just special and/or heavy.

2 RepliesLook for the one called thorn. It is THE best. The last work can outperform it situationally but thorn is an absolute monster

5 RepliesOkay well let's see best hand cannon build... You want outlaw and fire fly, also make sure it does arc damage... Anyone see where I'm going with this?

2 RepliesLook for high impact handcannons, stuff like Red Hand IX or Ill Will, and definitely go for luck in the chamber alongside maybe final round depending on wether or not there is another perk you would favor to increase the weapon's stats. You also want to have low mag size and quick (if possible) reload speed (armor can help with this) so you can proc that lucky round more often. Recoil is something you want to lower of you can with the stat trees as well as raising stability and range.

13 RepliesA nice perk combo is last round and luck in the chamber. If you get that with ill will that has 7 rounds you have a lot more chance of getting the lucky bullet early

1 ReplyHawkmoon has a pretty good build.

4 RepliesZen Moment and Hidden Hand are some pretty good perks to have.

1 ReplyI'm in the same boat - 0 and 9 for light out of nightfalls so jumped into IB Fri to see if I could get at least to 3 on my hunter. Also recently started playing some pvp (other than exotic bounties) for marks since I wanted the new Red Hand So far Red Hand is good, Fulcrum is as good or better especially at range. Her Mercy is somewhere in there In regular crucible where damage doesn't matter I often roll with a Polite Denial 0/1 which is a rare HC in the high impact type of HC, mine happens to have send it for stupid amounts of range - like a super high impact hand scout ill will is a legendary HC that I've noticed and would love to try out if it drops, looks like good range and same impact as my Polite Denial

8 RepliesThere are three kinds of hand cannons, high impact/low FR (which is capable of two to three shot headshot kills), medium I/ medium FR (three shot headshot kills) and low I/high(ish) fire rate (three to four shot headshot kills). Available for sale both New Monarchy and FWC sell the medium type (red hand IX and The Fulcrum-respectively) also the FB is this kind. And then from playing PvP you can be awarded The Revelator (low impact/high fire rate) and the ill Will (high impact/ low fire rate). Also there is the FB from VoG, medium Impact/medium FR(which is an amazing gun), the Word of Crota, low impact/ high FR, the Dregs Promise which I don't know it's stats, and the Jewel of Osiris, which I believe to be medium/medium. Iron Banner has the Timurs Lash, a High impact/low FR which I enjoy a lot in crucible due to its high aim assist allowing for quick headshots.

1 ReplyThree most important stats in my books on H/C: Impact, Range, and Stability. I liked red hand until I got the fulcrum, range was much better. I liked the fulcrum until I got the Ill Will, almost max impact. If you can get a roll with stability you're set. I was lucky and got Luck, stability boost and last round. With only 7 rounds in the chamber, it's a poor mans hawk moon. Overall, mess around with each H/C you get until you find one that fits you. Cheers

10 RepliesIf you have good aim. Hawkmoon is the best gun in game. Great impact amazing range and a good stability that could get used to
-
8 RepliesIf you have a handcannon with a small mag then you vant go wrong with luck in the chamber and final round. It would be like a mini hawkmoon.

1 ReplyDon't apologize for your low kd. Recent average is probably more accurate than overall anyway, considering 95% of us started out as scrubs. Looks like you've been killing it recently.
