Notice how good players think thorn is OP?
I have not talked with any good players that think thorn isn't op. It's really disgusting that a lot of people on the forums like to get carried by the second lowest ttk primary In the game. GG destiny community

I see so many people in here saying shit like: "just deal with it, learn how to play around it, if you're good enough you should be able to win anyway". I body plenty of random thorn users every day. I've killed hundreds of thorns over the course of my career, that's not the -blam!-ing point. It's not OP because it's impossible to counter or play around, it's OP because it's ridiculously simple to kill with mechanically speaking and because it kills much quicker than a large majority of the other weapons in its class. You won't solve the problem of thorn simply through adaptation, either; all of the "good players" that have been referred to so often have already adopted the guns into their play styles for the most part, thus further exacerbating their imbalance and clear dominance over the rest of the weaponry in PvP.

8 RepliesA lot of people completely miss your point with this. To simply say that they can beat a Thorn user with another gun only says that they are better than the person using it. If you come up against a player using Thorn who is of exactly the same skill level as you and you are using something else, you will lose most of the time. Thorn is too good in too many situations. It's not just the DoT. It's the obscene range, the extremely high aim assist, fire rate, damage and DoT combined. Other exotics have their niche areas but also have weaknesses in others. I struggle to find a situation where Thorn doesn't excel.

The one gun that everyone actually complains about and doesn't get nerfed. Agenda is pretty obvious that Bungie misses their halo CE magnum.

4 RepliesRecipe for Apple Pie Ingredients: - Pastry for 2 crusts - 8 cups sliced, peeled assorted baking apples about 3 lbs. - 2 Tablespoons lemon juice - 3/4 cup white sugar - 1/4 cup brown sugar - 1/4 cup all-purpose flour - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon - 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg - 2 Tablespoons butter - 1 egg yolk - 1 Tablespoon milk Directions: 1. In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with lemon juice. 2. Combine sugars, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg; add to apples and toss well to coat. 3. Fill pastry lined 9 inch pie pan with apple mixture. Dot with butter. 4. Place second crust on top of pie filling, cut slits in top of crust to vent. Seal the edges of the crust with a fork or by hand. 5. In a small bowl, beat the egg yolk and milk. Brush mixture over top crust. 6. Bake at 425°F for 15 minutes. 7. Reduce heat to 350°F and bake 40-45 minutes more or until crust is golden and filling is bubbly.

Fusions and shotguns don't you fret, post mortem kills is what we'll get. And if you're still alive, beware. There's plenty more Thorns in the Garden there.

I agree that thorn is overpowered and something should be done to balance it. However, I don't want to see it nerfed to oblivion like auto rifles. The best way to balance thorn would be to SIGNIFICANTLY increase the recoil and the time it takes to reload. That way the two hit DoT would still be possible but a lot harder to achieve and a longer reload would increase down time between engagements and leaving the user more vulnerable after killing someone.

1 ReplyNo clue if my stats put me at a good player but I've got 9-0 8 times 9 technically since I got dropped at 8 wins he first week. I run thorn in trials ONLY because I know it's op and you put yourself at a distinct disadvantage if you aren't running it.

Red death 2 burst kills, Thorn 2 shot kills Red death can shoot 2 bursts faster than thorn shoots you twice Red death kills thorn user Thorn is good Last word is good Last word is a beast Last word can kill a guy using thorn really quickly Thorn guy loses Hawkmoon is amazing (if you are on Ps4) Thorn 2 shots Hawkmoon 2 shots Thorn has lingering damage Hawkmoon's shots can combine to do more damage Thorn and Hawkmoon are brothers. Thorn is a gun Hawkmoon is a gun Last word is a gun Red death is gun Every weapon in destiny (except relics) is a gun. Everybody uses a gun. You sir are complaining that this gun should not be used. You are basically saying that no gun should be used because this particular weapon is good. This would lead to a buff in other guns. Then you would argue about those guns So stop complaining and use a gun...

It doesn't take much brain power to notice its broken after using it How can u not notice its damage, firerate ttk, crazy ttks at range, and the least amount of effort to get kills with compared to other guns?
