Eight Line Lore: Notable Guardians & The Ahamkara

Toland He delved too deeply into the Hive arcane. The others became wary of his presence, they believed he had been corrupted by Dark whispers. The Speaker too, had grown wary. He was exiled from The City’s warm, safe embrace and forced into the cold, unforgiving wilderness. Much time passed, Toland’s name was very nearly forgotten, until Eris Morn sought his assistance. With the help of four other Guardians fiercely strong with Light, they descended into the Hellmouth, in search of the Hive atrocity Crota. One by one, they fell, until Toland and Eris were the only left standing, lost to the shadows. Eris would, in time, find her way back to the Light. As for Toland’s fate, nobody knows. Kabr No one had managed to pierce the veil of the Vex’s Vault of Glass. He managed to do it alone. Alone in mindset perhaps , but not physically alone. Soon however, he was alone, his companions devoured by the Vault. As his armor wore down, he fashioned new armor out of Vex skeletons. It is said that this armor, when worn for an extended period of time , feels more natural than skin, causes hallucinations, and can be hazardous to health. He studied the Vault, and learned that the Oracles decided if you were real or not. As the Vex armor he wore began to envelop him mentally, he created the Aegis out of what remained of his light, to bind Guardians to reality, and to make venturing into the Vault possible. Dredgen Yor Even the greatest, most honorable and Light Guardians can be seduced by the Darkness’s whispers. Dredgen Yor was a great Guardian. He was nearly invincible in the Crucible with his hand cannon, Rose, at his side. But all great things must come to an end, yes? His Light began to fade, and the Darkness claimed the husk that was left of his body. His sidearm, the Rose, was transformed into the murderous Thorn. It was this weapon, that was used to kill many Guardians, such as Jaren Ward. His massacre may have never ended if he was not eradicated by the adopted son of Jaren Ward, Shin Malphur. Ahamkara The Ahamkara were a race of dragon-like creatures who had unbelievable knowledge. And knowledge is power, and The City needed power. Power was exchanged. Guardians sought out this power relentlessly, so much that it began to clout their Light. To eliminate the lust for power, the Ahamkara would have to eliminated. And so the Great Ahamkara Hunt began. Warlocks were said to be the only ones intelligent enough to kill these creatures, although Hunters are said to be able to. As a result of the Great Ahamkara Hunts, the Ahamkara are said to have been forced into extinction, but you cannot believe everything you hear, oh reader mine. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Hey all, Peeps here. Another Eight Line Lore for the masses to enjoy :). As usual, grammar has been kidnapped, murdered, and discarded into international waters. Enjoy :) - Peeps
