In the new version there it states that reach comes under attack at 2542 and not 2552.
the battles for Sigama Octanus and Reach are now 2542
Cole is now a Fleet Admiral in 2530
Admiral Stanforth is now a Vice Admiral
700+ ships attacked reach
Posted by: WYOMING If they are rewriting canon for future writing possibilities, then they apparently are so mentally retarded to the point that there is a -blam!- ton of things that they can continue writing on. FIRST OF ALL, JOHN 117'S LOCATION. The Life of Dr. Halsey (the Journal in the limited edition will not contain all information on Halsey), i personally would like a book written about Didact and the Librarian, a detailed creation of the halo rings, the rookies life/actual identity, the life of the Arbiter, pretty much anything biographical on characters in halo.
No. They're saving John's location for Halo 4. They probably think Dr. Halsey is finished after Nylund finishes his journal. The Forerunner stuff you mention actually will be covered (probably) in Greg Bear's novels. The Rookie was in a short story, the Arbiter was in a book, etc...
Posted by: BK Burger Boy Canon for everything is eventually screwed in a dumpster on top of a burning freight train. Just look at Star Wars. I have what's called a personal canon where in my mind only the good stuff happened.
That's not always true. Star Trek has a pretty consistent canon. [Edited on 08.06.2010 5:48 PM PDT]
