The Ochman Hunt - Chapter 1

The Ochman Hunt Prologue - https://www.bungie.net/ko/Forum/Post/187110397/0/0 --------------------------------------------------- Chapter 1 - It Has Begun The pod that rested in front of me opened as soon as the announcer finished speaking, and some weapons shot out, as well as some very basic Warlock armor. I walked to the pod and picked up the scout rifle and sniper rifle that laid in the dirt. I pulled the mags out of both weapons to find them full, but no other reserve mags were inside of the pod. I had to deal with what I had. I quickly put the armor on, which gleamed a dark blue tint with black detailing along the sides. Two black strips traveled along the front of the armor, starting from the back of the helmet, and ending around the groin, accompanied by an odd symbol on the chest piece. It was difficult moving in the armor at first, as if it was brand new, or completely frozen in ice for a while. Nevertheless, I placed my sniper rifle on my back, which attached only by a strong magnet located within the armor and the gun itself, and I pulled up the scout rifle, aiming it to get a feel for the weapon. "Come on out, babies. Daddy's got you a new chew toy," spoke the man again over the intercom, which was followed by many loud roars. The crowd went into an uproar of cheer, and I slowly began backing away from the area of the forest where I heard the roars. It almost sounded like a huge hoard of Hive Thralls, but I couldn't be sure. I decided to run to a nearby tree and climb it to get a better view of the arena. I placed the scout rifle on my back and began to ascend. Once reaching the top, what I saw was terrifying to even look at. It was the largest swarm of Hive enemies I had ever gazed upon. Knights, Acolytes, Thralls, especially Thralls, all rushed to me as quick as they could. They were moving so fast, and in such great numbers, that they were actually tumbling over each other to get to me, and launching each other into the air, which is how I spotted them. There was no way I was fighting them. With only one clip in each gun I had, it would be suicide. I looked frantically around the arena for something that could kill them, or even a place to hide, when I found a very large tree across the arena entirely. It would surely prove a safe spot to hide from those creatures. I wouldn't be entirely safe, but it would have to suffice. I tried to glide down to the ground and begin my trek to the tree, but instead, I my thrusters would not work and I fell straight to the ground again. "Damn, what in the hell is wrong with the armor," I thought to myself. Suddenly, the man came over the intercom again. "I may have forgotten to mention something to you in my haste to begin the Hunt, Bitch. You'll find that your previous armor abilities, and Light abilities you had while you were still a Guardian are no longer present. You either man-mode this trial, or be served on a platter to the beautiful Hive hoard you saw chasing you down like a dog. We need to make things interesting, right? I'm sure you understand. Ta ta!" Before I even had a chance to yell back at the man, he turned off the intercom, and I was left with a hoard of Hive chasing me down, and an area the size of two football fields I needed to run through to get to that tree. Well, there was no point in standing there. Time to fight for my life. -----Chapter 2 https://www.bungie.net/ga/Forum/Post/119476274/0/0
