How to win ToO on Widow's Court - A Short Strategy Guide

I know that a lot of people really hate the concept of playing on this map. I did too, until my team and I established ourselves some strategy and hiding spots. --{POSITIONING}-- ~NEAR THE WATER 1. If you're on the side near the water, I recommend taking cover in the building to the left. Use close-quarters weapons and don't aim down the sights so you know where they are. Peak around the walls if you want to see where someone is. Let them come to you. It can be good to have 1 person go into the church and watch over there. Just make sure you avoid conflict. If time runs out, let the enemy move towards the capture points, then throw grenades and shoot. 2. Another strategy is rushing towards the right and camping the stairs. The enemy will have very little of you that they can shoot. Just make sure you watch out for grenades or flanks. ~OPPOSITE OF THE WATER 1. This one became my teams favorite area, actually. When you spawn in, have 1 person go straight, and 2 go right. 1 watches the stairs, and the other goes near the crumbled building. You'll know where the enemy comes from. When they start coming, have the closest person move over there, and the furthest person move a bit closer and watch for a flank. 2. Left flanking is pretty effective actually. Have the same set up, but the two people on the left should move up. The one near the stairs should take cover at the plants, while the other one moves over to the church. The guy in the middle can attempt to keep them distracted by just firing random primary ammo or using grenades on them. The two people going around can throw grenades into the building left of the water side spawn. I'd recommend an arc or solar bolt grenade (or whatever they're called, you know what I mean). --{STRATEGY}-- ~GRENADE STALLING -- Is the enemy moving up and getting into sniping position? Grenades such as Solar, Vortex, and Lightning could be thrown where they're going to go. This will force them back so you can get into position. ~PEEKING AROUND WALLS -- Alright, this, you should most likely know. It's a bit cheap, but a lot of people do it. You can sit down near a corner to watch for enemies. Great thing to do if you're pinned down and are expecting a flank. ~BODY CAMPING -- Puppy guarding is a bit of a dick move, but you gotta do whatever it takes to win. If an enemy dies near you because they rushed, make sure one person is nearby in cover, ready to call out for a flank. If they die near the enemy and you still have 3 people alive, throw grenades at it then rush forward. If they take the risk and try to revive, they'll either die or be injured enough for you to finish them off. I don't know about other people, but this has never failed when I've done it. ~LOSING A ROUND? -- We've all experienced the "Holy crap!" moment where you're the last guy alive. There's not much you can do in this situation. The odds are against you so I would not recommend for you to camp in an area and try to take out everyone. I suggest taking the risk and trying to revive an ally. If not, run around and wait for the flag. I've firsthand experienced multiple times where someone won in a 3-1 situation because they were able to escape and capture the point. ~DON'T GET COCKY -- Are you winning 4-0? Well done, but don't get cocky. Are you against 3 level 33s and everyone on your team is a 34? Don't get cocky. You don't know how good these people might be. I've (like most situations) taken out a team that was 4-0 on us and won 5-4 on them because we changed our strategy. I've also had my team taken out by 2 level 32s and a 33. We were all 34s and we got cocky. Luckily we had a mercy, but we learned that just because there are level advantages, doesn't mean the other team doesn't know what they're doing. ~DON'T WASTE YOUR SUPERS -- Seriously, don't. If there is 1 person left on their team and there's like 45 seconds and you have 3 people and you're all closing in on them, don't use your super. It's a waste. You could save it for when you actually need it. Sure, if you're about to die and there's a guy coming at you with a shotgun and you're both the last people alive, or even if everyone is still alive, go ahead and use it. Sure, you didn't wipe out the whole team, but that's just 1less person you have to worry about. At that point, you'll want to switch into defense mode against supers, because odds are the other team has them too (depending on how much you're winning/losing by). EDIT 1: LIMITING PATHS-- If the other team is coming from somewhere where the are 2 ways they can come at you from and the places are generally close, try throwing a grenade at one of the paths then camp the other. An example of this is that one entrance to the church. Hope this helps, and good luck in the trials everyone!
