Xur Selling Gjallarhorn? Opinions
Alright so I picked up Destiny sometime around mid January and I've been playing ever since. The Gjallarhorn sure is being the tricky bastard to me. Can't seem to get it to drop no matter how many Nightfalls, Raids, Legendary Engrams, Roc/Dragon Strikes, opening the Prison of Elders chest I do. I know Xur sold Gjallarhorn week 2, but my question here is, did Bungie really say that Xur will never sell it ever again? I've heard that rumor but can't seem to find any straight forward answer. And didn't they also say that about the Ice Breaker too, yet there it was being sold a second time awhile back? So does that mean there really is a chance? Personally, I think earning it is much better and rewarding than purchasing it. But still, doesn't mean I'm a bit hopeful everytime Xur comes around. So, can someone please answer that question for me? Vote in the poll what you think about the idea of Xur actually selling the Gjallarhorn again too!

2 RepliesWhere's the "I don't care" option. I have it, and it should be priced just like any other heavy exotic. For those waiting for it to drop after 1000 hours of playing, rejoice. For those getting kicked due to the lack of an exotic launcher, rejoice. Seriously, Xûr can't sell anything without y'all getting pissed.

I got a ghallahorn from coming in last place in a crucible game, had like 7 kills. Did I earn that, hell no. At least u truly do earn strange coins.

I think the weekly heroic could remove the matchmaking. Make the lazy gamers have to man up and get some friends or ask for help if they cant solo it. That would limit noods drowning in strang coins.

It definitely should have been more than 17 coins. Any shmuck could run two weeklies, and there you go, best gun in the game. It should be at least 50 coins, maybe more. That being said, I did buy gally yesterday, and it was my first. But 17 coins feels cheap and not rewarding

The RNG that gives it to players who "earn" it is the same RNG that puts it in Xûr's inventory. Now more players will have a high DPS weapon to help kill bosses. Good for them.
