Destiny has completely left out the players who play solo and don't have a group of friends to play with.
PvP is no longer about skill and you can only compete if you have a Vex Mythoclast or Thorn.
But you cannot acquire those weapons playing solo. I have an incomplete Thorn bounty cause I cannot complete the Summoning Pits solo.
In addition, solo players do not have access to any of the good gear because only the low level Prison of Elders offers match making but rewards you with worthless gear.
How is this fair?
ALL players should have EQUAL access to good gear.
I used to enjoy this game but put down the controller the other day after realizing that playing is pointless unless you have a group of friends to play with.

You can solo crota and Poe on 32... And you can also solo the thorn bounty it's not all that hard.
-
You can join the small clan I'm in if you like? We are all regular players and most of the people in it are experienced and can run you through raids and PoE and whatever each week :-) Clan name is Task Force IX You are welcome to jump in
-
Playing destiny period is pointless lol.

You just suck
-
And I play pvp with red death?
-
And I just did nightfall solo..?
-
I got thorn solo?

It's been pointless tho

For anyone who says they feel they are left out of content and on that regards. Just think to yourself what kind of game you bought? It's a game based on an open world shooter! Of course we aren't here to debate Destinys "open world". But with that on the plate it's a game revolving around multiplayer and group activities. They said you can play solo and nothing is stopping you from doing so. But simply asking the designers of the game to give you a way to complete a raid solo etc etc is just dumb. Stop with your entitlement and play with what the designers have built. (Ok go solo Crota hehe). And not to forget trading which some people love to mention. I'm glad they won't implement trading cause that actually causes more harm than good. Kills the end game for players, it waters down the game experience and reduces the life of the game, and can introduce problems and cheats etc.

Edited by Guardian4182: 7/30/2015 5:05:30 PMTrue. It seems like every week I add people with the hopes of finding a regular crew to run with. Then the following week I get on & none of the people I made friends with last week right on so I have to make a whole new set of friends again this week and it's a never ending cycle week after week after week after week after week after week after week

I agree completely, there is serious solo player discrimination in Destiny. It's one of the four reasons I left Destiny (other 2: Non-DLC content lockout with release of TDB, lack of ANY cohesive storyline in vanilla game or DLC and TTK/Year 2 package pricing bs) They want it to be a shared world experience, yet don't include basic shared world interactive features like proximity chat and player trading. And the lack of optional matchmaking for endgame content is ridiculous. Solo players like me can't do any raids, can't play trials and can't play Lv 32, 34 or 35 PoE. In other words, we are locked out of content we paid for through the incompetence and laziness of Bungievision. It really blows

You can now reach level 32 without raids or trials or anything. You can also get treasure keys from a bounty. Treasure keys to open the Lvl 28 PoE chest. Pretty good chance you'll get exotics from said chest. Use those exotics to help you finish summoning pits which is six levels under you. Difficult, but achievable.

When you play solo they should lower the number of enemies that spawn. Like Cod does on zombies. More people, more enemies. Less people less enemies. Seems logical
-
What your complains are about ? Summoning pits lvl26 heroic can be easily solo'ed. Same with Crota normal or hard. Same as Poe 32 and 34. Same as any nightfall . I'm a solo player as well. I have a lot a friends to play with, but still soloing things is my favorite way to play destiny. Stop complaining and get some skills!!!
-
I agree with everything but I got my Thorn playing solo. Well, I used Atheon's Epilogue for the crucible portion so I guess I just proved myself wrong..never mind...
-
LFG sites, dude.
-
I agree. Even though I enjoy working as a team and have been very successful, I think the game has left the solo experience behind. I think there should be "PVE solo only" portions of the game where no one can assist you, just like there is the raid for PVE teams and Osiris for PVp teams, iron banner for PVp solo...
-
This game wasn't designed for a solo experience. They want you to play with a team.
-
If your on xbox 1, I'll help you get through the prison of elders and other things that are easier with more players. I'm sure my friends would help too.
-
Or...........try not being antisocial and realize that finding 1-2 people isn't that hard and if it is you should seek professional help because you are most likely an arrogant narcissistic douche
-
Xbox one?
-
Weird that bungie would rather lose 3 players at a time rather than 1 lol
-
I do agree they need more matchmaking in destiny.

Edited by ragingchewbecca: 6/5/2015 1:07:49 PMDude if your on ps4, ill do summoning pit part for you, its actually not as bad as you think, I soloed it at level 27 Edit: my gamertag is moo-moo-bear, i would recommend running vog and crota for gear, now that people are 34, most would be glad to carry you
-
Agree totally, but what console are you on? I solo'd Thorn so wouldn't mind running through it with you
