I hate Iron Banner, and you should too.
I dont have words to describe how disappointing and unenjoyable Iron Banner is. Something has changed in it this week since the last two, and Bungie has not told us.
Game quality experience is incredibly in-consistent.
Here is a list of items I would say many people I have met, spoken with and play with would agree on.
1. The exaggerated use of Shotguns, Shoulder Charges, and Blinks.
2. The fact you can glitch a blink and a shotgun kill with a moment of invulnerability.
3. The few "elite" who are gifted with the over powered range of Felwinter's Lie. And they then forever use it.
4. The fact that there exists only one gun in the game that has a poison effect.
5. That of the many exotics, the following are the only ones used: Thorn, Hawkmoon, Vex.
6. The inability to turn off aim assist.
7. The fact that I can hit square about 25 times from the moment I die to actually being in first person at re-spawn.
8. The fact that triggering what should be a super power, actually just makes you do this obvious "dance" that just announces your oncoming death.
9. The fact that Titans seem to be exempt to #8.
10. Poor quality match making.
11. The fact that looking through a sniper rifle (which by definition is supposed to be cloaked) announces your presense with a red light. I thought this game took place in the future.
12. The slowness of turning, (max sensitivity of 10).
13. The fact that a warlock self-resurrect can be camped on and downed in one shot gun hit.
14. The fact that Auto Rifles have been so severely nerfed, that they are not even touched.
So disappointed by this experience. And I never want to come back to it.

I hate your opinions and you should too. I will admit that I hate number 11. But it would render P&T exotic ability useless if you are a hunter.

I love it and you should too" followed by an all positive list of why we should love IB just the way he does. This kids man...I swear...

IB dropped me Felwinters and Matador in back to back games, with the right perks Matador has the same range with better impact, stability, and ROF. It even has a scope :)

Only issues I have is people lagging and pantheon... seriously the map is a unfun piece of shit even when my team is destroying.

4 RepliesFunny as a mostly PvE player I have really enjoyed IB and will probably play more PvP in future. Yes blink shotgun is annoying. Yes being killed by Thorn is annoying. But I'm sure people are annoyed by my Mida locking on to their head from a 1000 yards. PvP in Destiny is not balanced, but there are ways to counter most of the "problems" and you can play to the strengths of your own weapons. PvP no doubt has some people cheating in it. No different to any other FPS in the history of internet based gaming. Lag, annoying and bad game design but again name me a perfect internet based game. Ditto matchmaking.

I'm playing legit. Hovering around a 1.0 k/d avg. and I completely suck. Don't know the prob. I used to avoid pvp altogether cause I sucked at it. I don't notice cheating. Just lag.

Only playing till rank 3 then I'm done on this cheating/lag/try-hard game fest.

Edited by Sanctus Michael: 6/5/2015 12:39:26 PMUm. All these points are present in all PvP modes (crucible, IB, ToO). Your topic should be retitled referring to PvP in general. I didn't read any point that differentiated IB from any other PvP mode.

1 ReplyIts the people that ruin it, they play like its cod, this IB is particularly bad due to control, its basic strat, and i have to say, like most of things in life....theres not a drop of common sense in most people. Why cap all three If were 6-10k ahead, i guess some of us like getting shot in the back. A Guys using felwinter?.....well ill rush him with a handcannon.lol, not a ton of smart people out there, when i play with my team, and communicate, we rarely lose...even to lag. Just adjust to what the other teams doing. Its not hard people
