Iron Banner is unplayable
Shotguns, slide, thorn, orbs, super, thorn, thorn, tlw, shotgun...
100 straight games with all these..

I wouldn't mind any of those things if it wasn't for the lag. It makes the pvp side unplayable. There are strategies for dealing with Thorn users, or any high powered weapon. But add lag into the mix and any strategy is pointless. If someone has been shotgunned in the face twice and can still kill me before the game decides they're dead, what's the point of trying.

You forget about the lag. Lord, the lag. My connection's fine in regular Crucible, but Iron Banner... seems every game has at least one person teleporting all over the map, invincible. I had a guy message me "nice lag win" the other day when my team beat his team hard, but his team was lagging hard too. It was the worst. I can deal with weapons, what I can't deal with is the game straight sticking it up my ass.

I agree, I use bad juju and multi tool but I'm so tired of getting pegged 2-3 times with the thorn and dying after I outgun the person every time, or getting two shot by the last word before I can even fire a burst off; the guns are blatantly broken and Bungie won't address it because they are the pvp developers "favorites" stop being so biased already.

8 RepliesI agree that it's mostly unplayable, but I disagree that any of those things are what makes it that way. Lots of people better than me, lots of people using better weapons than I have, lots of people kicking my ass all over the map. The ONLY thing that really makes it a horrible experience, IMO, is the LAG. If someone beats me because they're better than me or luckier than me or have better guns than I do or whatever, good for them. If someone beats me because they're not actually in the place where I see them on my screen? BULLSHIT! Can't stand all this Post Mortem bullshit. I fire 5 shotgun blasts into a guys face, he melees me to death, THEN he dies from my shotgun blasts??? AW HELL NO! (well, a post mortem kill is better in that situation than no kill at all, but still...)

Ummmmm.......I suck balls at crucible and I'm doing just fine. Went 22 kills with over 3k/d twice......out of like 300 games.....but still.....if I suck so bad and can do it, it's def not unplayable!

Not for me. Love it. I run with MIDA, Hawk, Bad Juju, Spear, LDR, Dynasty, to name a few. If my legendaries were 365, I'd be rolling with Zero Point, Gheleons Demise, Red Hand, Timbres Lash. Everything is beatable.

2 RepliesIn all honesty and not trying to be mean... But you need to play more and complain less. Don't worry about what they have and you don't. Use what you know and what you like. I lived with a scout rifle equipped in PvE. I hopped into pvp and thought I had to use my last word. I got wrecked. When iron banner just started the other day, I said screw this (I'm board with PoE) I need something new. I jumped into IB and equipped my Fang. After a few 0.4KD games I was starting to learn things. -don't jump into every gun fight thinking you're going to win every one. You need to know when you're getting wrecked and need to bail to stay alive. -use the weapon you're comfortable with and stick with it. You will make progress. -use your grenades and supers wisely. If they don't get you kills, be ready to jump in and finish off the wounded. -stop worrying about your KD. Play control and learn to stay alive. Your goal is to win the match. -learn what others are wrecking you with and counter them. Is thorn killing you? Throw on a shotty and meet them in tight spaces (hallways). You will most likely stomp them. -get all those free legendary weapons they keep dropping for you! It's funny how they are oriented towards PvP :-) -stress out less over your crappy games. You will have rounds that are unbalanced and you will get slaughtered. Throw in lag and lag switchers and you will want to quit... But don't! I've come off a 3.5KD game and then had a 0.5. I laugh now and get over it. -I'm no pro but went from consistent bottom of the board to frequent top of the board in 1 week. Enough so that I decided to do my thorn bounty yesterday. It only took 12 games and I haven't used my warlock in weeks. Now my KD is negative as I learn how to use it, but like I said, who cares?!? Anyways, give it time and have fun. Get through the crappy learning stage and enjoy your great games and laugh about some bad ones! Good luck!

3 RepliesAnybody who uses weapons in crucible is a scrub, lets be honest. I can stand being killed by auto rifles, scout rifles, hand cannons, pulse rifles, shotguns, snipers, fusion rifles, machine guns, rockets, Titan grenades, Hunter grenades, Warlock Grenades, Titan melees, Hunter melees, Warlock melees, any super of any kind, and players in general.
