Silimar's Wrath has received a huge ninja buff from Bungie
So I just dropped it in Iron Banner and it's now a whole other weapon.
Let's see what has changed.
The fire rate is now 88 instead of 100, putting the gun in the same class as Abyss Defiant, Up For Anything or For The People.
Impact is now 8 instead of 2.
Range is now 20 instead of 14.
[b]Stability is now 86 instead of 36[/b], and the best by far of any other gun with the same rate of fire.
Reload speed is now 55 instead of 76 (that's a nerf).
So that pretty much sums it all up. Similar's Wrath is no more the marshmallow shooter it used to be and I'm definitely keeping this one if an AR buff ever happens in the future. The base stats are great, especially the new stability and you can reroll it with whatever you want. I think it should have been in the patch notes though, too many people will still believe the weapon is trash until Saladbar sells it again while it's not so true anymore.

It's definitely the best Y1 AR I use in PvP.

4 RepliesI did not know this! Amazing info. I got one last night and it sounds sweet: 40 rounds -hidden hand -focused fire (zoomed fires slower but more damage) - rifled barrel (more range). I think I'll keep it!

I love my up for anything, but I might end up wanting that one. Then again, you can't get Send It any more on new weapons, so maybe not.

Yes but still a low impact high rate of fire weapon. Does anyone use the Abyss Defiant outside crota raids or solar burn nightfalls? Don't get me wrong, I would love to be able to use an auto rifle in more situations.

3 RepliesI literally just had one drop in Iron Banner with mag size of 46 iirc, 2 impact, 88 fire rate, and probably 4 - 8 range. its mediocre imho idk maybe I just rolled a shitty one (do stats change if I reforge ? I know on Matador's reforge has a chance of changing the element type so I would imagine it would be possible to roll for better stats?)
