PSA: THE ELDER CIPHER IS CURRENTLY GLITCHED
If you are having trouble redeeming your Elder Cipher, dont worry. Its not just you. Bungie is aware of the issue and is currently working towards a solution. Please post your experience with this glitch below or on the Bungie post about the glitch. Thanks.

But Variks shows an exclamation when I talk to him he gives me the choice of the weapons but doesn't let me pick one. And the Elder Cipher bounty is nowhere to be found. I'm sad.

I had only one bounty when I beat the 35 and talked to Varkis.... I cannot even select a weapon. The only thing I can do it press circle to cancel to view his normal stock! Please fix this within a reasonable timeframe and donot make us have to get another cipher if we did the 35POE

Same here, please fix and let those who earned it get their bounty. I nearly did it and was so excited wanting my new exotic then horribly disappointed by the glitches cipher...

Had full bounties, ran 34 and 35, went to the reef, Variks had an exclamation point above his head, talked to him, and he just shows me the three weapons to choose from, except there is only the "Y" to inspect option. It is impossible to select any of the three. Awesome glitch

I actually got two ciphers and had to delete one because it wouldn't let me even start it. Now my cipher is due and it does not show up I know there are problems but I just wanted to address them with Bungie so they could fix it.

1 ReplySMH whyyyy do we keep having these problems and the fixes never seem to make up for the loss of time and fustration... :/ anyway... i beat skolas but didnt get the mines... so i got a cipher anyway... turned it in at varick had no problem selecting a weapon (as my bounties were not full at the time) and i chose the queensbreakers bow... the next step of the bounty is to wait till varick summons you. ive read this takes about 48 hours... its been 4 days ..no summon but i have a green icon on my reef but no green icon in the social area... always some sort of problem... :/

Just ran into the same issue variks gives me 3 to choose from and game will not let you press button to accept the one you want...

1 ReplyMy bounties were full when i beat 34 and it told me i got the bounty so when i got to the vestian post i deleted a bounty and went to vericks but i cannot redeem my bounty. Won't let me pick a weapon

2 RepliesI just got 2 ciphers from 35PoE wanted to pick fusion snipe and shotgun and the stupid thing spent both at once on the same one. Annoying.

1 ReplyI am encountering this glitch as well, beat skolas today with my bounties full (idiot i know) go to variks as he has a quest marker try to pick a gun to start the next step but it won't work, i clear my bounties beat him again as the patch notes said to do and still nothing

Yes I'm having the same trouble it shows I can choose 3 of the new Exotic weapons but it won't let me choose them plus I don't even have the bounty on me and I just beat skolas tie with same character and still nothing
