Kinetic Damage Weapons feels useless since New expansion started
Hello,
With HOW expansion started in the arena most of the enemies has shields on. So i never touching my kinetic weapons(many exotics also) and don't see any reason to upgrade them.
I would suggest with latest weapon upgrade change kinetic dmg to a random Damage like void, arch... Or you can use a weapon core while reforging your weapon to change knitic dmg. to a random dmg.
Another idea will be increasing kinetic dmg to all shields and decreasing energy dmg. to another energy shiled. I mean if you use void weapon it should do lesser damage to a solar shiled then a knitic weapon does to all shields. But people may not be very happy about this 2. idea.

Memetic weapons suck useless for raids and nightfall not worth upgrading or using worthless 😫

It's fine. You either use a high impact primary like a Hand Cannon or Scout Rifle on the low level adds then use a Shotgun with the corresponding elemental damage or Heavy to take care of those shielded opponents. Not hard just make sure you have your bases covered.

I have to say i am disagree with most comments. At first Poe arena is different from strikes. Waves of enemies running over you and hitting nonstop. You have to keep your special and heavy weapon for important targets. Only shotguns are great for close combat against any target and snipers for some tasks. Why to use any kinetic weapon when you have word of crota for void dmg, fate bringer or fang of i. for arc.. Vision of conf. for solar damage? Watch you tube how many good players running around with Fate Bringer, vision of c.? Most of them! You can say of course because these are Epic weapons like in MMOS. But this is a Fps Mmo about weapons. You have a few skills to cast and many weapons .

Drop the shields with grenades, special weapons, heavy or even melee strikes. Finish them off with Kinetic damage. I think it's good this way. Otherwise why use other guns? Everyone would be using the same thing eventually. That and it makes you think about the up coming encounter. Adds a layer of difficulty.

1 ReplyI usually just take the shield down with a secondary or heavy and finish them of with a kinetic primary if that's what I'm using. Any half decent rocket launcher will take down the shield or at least most of it even if it's the wrong burn.
