Forever eater is fake
Hey bungie I officially have a problem with your pve arena forever eater. I thought it was just me when I attemted it all last week on lv34 with every character and multiple team mates and was not able to complete it once for a very detailed reason. Then comes this weeks lv 32 the same thing and yet the same problems turn up. #1 the last and final round is impossibly predictable and there are too many factors that result in team failure because of the games own incapabilities. #2 the vex that needs to be taken out to destroy the detainment bubbles is very hard to locate and sometimes doesn't reveal himself untile the last second. #3 the time in which is received from killing said vex is either too short or the detain bubbles come into affect late within the 25 sec time frame or after the time is up and my team dies in bubbles. Now what makes my 4th and final point is that all of this has happened not once or twice but every time the final level is reset or when I enter it. Why this continues to happen I dont know but it is getting in the way of many gardians path to victory and not just mine or my clans. Who wastes time killing that dumb goblin. Found verdict, any primary, and any DECENT rocket launch is all you need. 1. Shoot 4-6 rockets out the door. 2. Run to right side. 3. Proceed to shoot rockets. 4. 6 Found Verdict (any high impact shotgun) shots and maybe some primary to free yourself from bubble. 5. Pop heavy and shoot more rockets. Shoot primary if no rockets. One person might need to deal with hobs, but cover is adequate. 6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until desired results are achieved. I did last week with 2 33s. I can't imagine how easy it will be this week.

Edited by The Wizard : 6/5/2015 5:30:04 PMHere are some tips I just beat it yesterday with 1 Gally 2 Hungers of Crota Use A shotgun that destroy Containment bubbles(I prefer Found verdict once I shoot the 6 Bullets at It I swap to my primary to shoot a few bullets then it pops. Then I unload 7 galleys pop a synth shoot 7 at Him again While the other guys kill the Hob Goblins And Goblins and other enemy's I also go right side strategy it works for me (Note: You don't need a titan its Optional) It just speeds up a little bit Second Strategy: 3 Max Gallys You Need -3 34s Or 33s -1 Titan atleast(More titans the easier) - make sure all your 3 guys can have 7 Rockers before you go out then Make sure you can pop a syth once you shoot those Shoots Steps 1 Go Outside 2 Titan Pop Weapons of Light 3 All 3 People Unload 7 Gallys 4 Go in Bubble Pop Syth Shoot Rockets til hes Dead Hope that helps I did it both ways

So nobody beat this on 34 last week and nobody is able to beat it this week? I don't think so. It's actually relatively easy. First, when you come through the door, your team, not just you or two of you, goes to one side, left or right (left is easier). Then from there, you need to kill the ads so they don't kill you, then one or two will shoot the boss, one or two will look for the eye, kill the eye, break out of jail, kill boss, rinse, repeat. The only gun that you absolutely need for this on level 32 or 34 is the shot gun. Now, what you do need. Good communication. Skill not gjallahorn (speeds it up is all) and that's it. Nothing else. Oh wait, you can't walk in there with an unleveled weapon. You need, need, need to have your weapons doing the maximum damage as possible. Not sure why every scrub on here thinks that just because you have a g-horn that does 271 damage (334 for all you noobs out there) and no wolf pack rounds still counts as a g-horn, it doesn't. If you don't have a 365 g-horn then you don't have a g horn. Same with every other weapon in the game. No matter how good the perks are, they suck if they aren't active.

They nerfed it didn't they? Is it still hard after the nerf? And wasn't he level 34 last week? If he is level 32 this week they double nerfed it. Can't imagine it's still even a challenge now

2 RepliesI have beaten both just fine. Legit and with gally. Seriously all you gotta do for qodron is huddle up when he searches for targets if you don't have jailbreaker. One bubble will pop when you three shoot it; then all you have to do is survive until the others are up. Not hard really. As for the ether eater, have a Titan. Put on helm of saint 14 and armor of light. Have him shotgun the yellow bar dregs called archon servants. They only come out of the door to the left. Once they are dead the servitude cannot eat health. Shoot, rinse, repeat.

That is why you have a hunter with Celestial Nighthawk just incase you can't kill the vex. But an Invective will help so much. With ammo regen and that last round it tears through the shields. Then again a shotgun in general is useful. Even a titan with FoH can destroy the shields without a problem! You just need to have a good team with good teamwork :).

2 RepliesAgreed. Making the eye more visible would help. And also the jailbreaker perk shouldn't run out before the bubbles appear. That's just awful.

4 RepliesI wonder how many players do it with zero gallys and without black hammer. It's amazing how easy it is to critique others skills when you have the best weapons. Most gamers seem to want a challenge, not a cheap bs move like this one. It's not a good game mechanic

1 ReplyYeah we had the same issue but my team and I didn't think much of it, we just kept trying, we either try to spot him as soon as possible and try to keep his health low until the message pops up and then kill him. I menage to break free of the detainment with just my found verdict that wasn't even fully upgraded yet at 279 attack point it takes all 6 shots and you must have your health full with the the detain shield comes on.

Edited by filleparisienne: 6/5/2015 7:31:58 AMDon't kill the target until Quadorn is "Searching" That will solve 2 and 3 Be efficient clearing mobs and be near cover for when the bubbles go up for problem 1 I two manned lvl 34 Quodron before the nerf so it shouldn't be too bad to 3 man the lvl 32 version now.

I did t first try with my team, it's really easy. We just stayed to the far right, one guy with shotgun killing ads and the eye while the others shoot the boss. If no one kills the eye then spread out and shoot your own bubbles. Super easy

The Forever Eater is all about timing. If you fail to set up a rhythm it is significantly more difficult to beat. After a few runs I got into a habit if estimating the detainment field triggering and would be sure to have a friend or I kill the eye before we were detained. This rhythm led to us completing it with little difficulty. It was not flawless however we did die a few times though wiping was at a minimum.

Took a 31 and a 32 through it just before we had one gally (me) a truth and a hmg...did just fine. Its a fun fight if you communicate

1 ReplyLast week, when this was 34 I did it w every one of my characters. The first two runs we did the ghally cheese/strat whatever you want to call it. The third I did with a random fire team and did it legitimately using black hammers. We did it first try. Although I do admit, I did have trouble finding the eye on the 32 this week.

This post just shows your in capability to do something many people have done 2 weeks in a row. How can you call something impossible when so many people can do it? If you can't find the goblin you're hiding too much, plain and simple. Also... With all the crying from last week they nerfed it so hard you can shotgun your way out of the shield without the buff! It's ridiculous now and certainly not impossible.

Use invective on the containment shield or found verdict and stay out of sight, if you've already taken damage before being contained you're gonna have a bad time
