Necrochasm - Weapon Improvement
Please vote in the Poll above on what do you think would be the best way to improve the gun.
I dont understand why this Autorifle is so underwhelming. I enjoy playing with fast firing ARs as they are for a very aggressive game play, however with the last gun rebalance they are almost useless. I feel that they are now the new "Pulse rifles" No one really use them as they are not effective in PvP or PvE.
Problems with the Gun:
- Low Stability
- Underwhelming perks
- Thrall explosion is not guaranteed, additionally there is a delay on the thrall explosion
- Thrall explosion is a watered down version of the firefly perk
- Low magazine ammo
- Pitiful Range
This is one of the hardest weapons to obtain and honestly I liked the whole Idea of turning a "Normal weapon" (which is really hard to obtain) into a Legendary and then an exotic. I mean the RNG to obtain all the pieces make is so hard to obtain. The weapon should feel really exotic as the Vex Mythoclast.
Please Bungie, if you appreciate your community listing to all this gun feedback.

I'd be happy if they made the mag size about equal to Atheon's Epilogue with field scout(84?). I can control recoil on bullet hoses, but it doesn't matter much when 40 shots only just takes down one guardian, or even tier 1 enemy

The gun is trash at the moment, not even worth an exotic slot.

1 ReplyNecro needs higher impact. All the new assult rifles have 20 times the impact necro does. No land beyobd time is more useful.than the necro. This hard to exotic from Crota raid is kunk, very very sad. Bungie just needs to admit they screwed up with rhe neceo and fix it. Increase impact, spray and play, and firefly.

I do believe that the necrogasm should be the ONLY high fire rate quarterish impact rifle it's sad that it take small arms and arc burn to make this weapon OK

2 Replies1 thing. Necrochasm has the cascade perk wich allows for near instant reload. Since you have to get close to melee an enemy you are already in close quarters so there is no need for range. Stability can be maxed at like 80% wich turns the thing into a laser. Gun is working as intended, y'all just dont know how to use it. It wasnt ment to kill anything better then a dreg or a thrall but if you equip a shotgun as secondary weapon you have a beast of a close quarters loadout. *note that anything that is an autorifle sucks*

1 ReplyNecrochasm needs either more impact or a higher mag size because 42 isn't enough when the fire rate is maxed. Personally I feel like the gun was meant to be a pulse rifle but Bungie changed it since you already had two with Bad Juju and Red Death.

1 ReplyMake the Thrall explosion an actual explosion, increase the impact by heaps, down the fire rate by a tad and (IMO) make it regen a bit of ammo every few seconds.

It desperately needs higher impact, leveled it to 365 and the damage was pitiful. A full clip barely kills a dreg.

Increase damage by 50% so you can actually kill stuff effectively. If that makes it OP, decrease the stability. Yeah! You heard me!

The stability can be fixed with Fitted stock, and I don't normally use Necro at range, I use it like an SMG, so range isn't a problem, it definitely needs a bigger mag though

5 RepliesThis weapon desperately needs a magazine increase. Although I will admit that it's a beast and tears through shit in this week's nightfall. Enemy shields don't mean shit with that gun in this week's nightfall. This week's nightfall showcases the gun's potential.
