Bungie your balancing team is pathetic.

"Fusion Rifle ammo and spread nerfed." "The Vex was accidentally hit by the Fusion Rifle nerf, so we'll be launching a patch to fix that!" "The recent patch didn't hold the Fusion Rifle nerfs, so we shall be reapplying those. Even to the Vex Mythoclast." What kind of logic is that, Bungie? Stop backtracking on your own intents, it makes you guys look like you have no clue as to what you're doing. Literally nobody even noticed that the original Fusion Rifle nerf was reverted, and there were [b]NO[/b] complaints about it at all besides the poor PvP players who kept dying to the Vex Mythoclast. "Wait, Fusion Rifles were good for a bit? We can't have that! Nerf them immediately!"

      • I think everyone noticed the fusion rifle change. It's why every started using them again. I just couldn't notice any change in the vex before or after. Still hate the gun just as much

        There are two main issues with the Crucible that need to be adressed... 1. Shotguns: They have simply to much range. Make their effectivness 50% less in range. If you wanna shotgun me then fine, but for that you need to be as close as meele range. I would gladly put my Fellwinters or Party Crasher away. Ive seen ppl with shotguns on Skyshock ffs... Cmon srsly lol... 2. Thorn: Simply to much range aswell. Iam able to win longer range shootouts with scout rifles!!! The Thorn still requires decent aim for the most effect, but it is to powerfull with the DoT. Just limit the handgun range in general for pvp. Also the Last Word even tho according to the range in the stats it is still very decent at range which is dumb aswell imo. I would simply nerf the headshot damage from handguns at longer distances. Thorn deals 81-83 damage at a almost scout rifle range. Combine it with send it and the bigger head hitbox area and you can outdamage scout rifles at decent ranges.

        • While I'm not as passionate about it as you are, OP, you bring up a valid point. They knew that 1.1.1 screwed with the Vex. Hell, they even acknowledged it in a later update. You'd think that leaving the FR update out of the last hotfix would have given then an opportunity to fix the damn thing and not repeat the same mistake. I'm 100% behind everything else they did with the recent update, but the FR thing was just dumb on their part.

          • Tried out my vex last night to get my 15 fusion kills and it's definitely not the same weapon from a week ago. Close to somewhat mid range it's still ok but anything further then that and you won't be doing any damage. I just don't understand why they have to keep messing with weapons. I get they're trying to make the game better but honestly it's only making it worse. Literally the only guns you see in iron banner is last word and thorn. Vex used to give you a chance to kill ppl using those two but now it's garbage. Guess I'll be using nothing but thorn again :/

                  I dont see anything about the nerf being applied to Vex. The 1.1.1 "nerf" was just a bug that had it spawn with less ammo. They subsequently fixed this. Just because they say they put fusion rifles back to 1.1.1 state doesn't mean they brought back the bug

                  I hardly heard any complaints about fusion rifle being to OP before they nerfed it. Problem with bungie is when they nerf something they instead makes something else a lot stronger. So I agree on on OP here. Fusion and ar are so hardly seen I pvp anymore. Obviously because shotguns, snipers and those lovely yellow hc (you all love), are way superior.

                • The thorn is ridiculous and, to point out the degree of absurdity of how OP the thorn is, whomever said "the thorn & the last word are like the yin and the yang of Destiny" hasn't been looking at how many ppl have even bothered with it. The weapon usage overall in Iron Banner has been: Thorn -> Hawkmoon -> Fatebringer -> Vex -> .....Last Word. I've seen more players bring a Suros Regime to Iron Banner and have counted 4 ppl use Last Word in 15+ matches so...wtf? My problem with balancing is Scout rifles cannot compete with a Thorn reliably even on a ranged battle; either the extra damage kills you or it comes down to making precision shots on the scout. 4 body shots to 2 on thorn is remarkably staggering. I don't even get the fusion rifle, I mean it's a weapon that everyone hates dying to but it's not like it was an OP weapon. now you're asking use to use snipers & shottys instead? Is this game really coming down to a "use hand cannons, snipers, shotty, and a rocket launcher or gtfu" type of situation now? I'm just trying to really figure out, why the hell do we have Pulse and Autos in the game when they've been made to sh*t on everything? I'm all for keeping PvP & PvE nerf/buffs separate, fact is I don't use the same setups as I do for Crucible. The game balance isn't also a case of "one needs to work over another" but rather "does it make sense" approach. Should Thorns be distinctly overpowered against another exotic scout rifle on range? I get the impact plays a role but that just means it's useless to grab an exotic scout over a thorn. Should I have to rely on a shotty for everything now upclose? When you play crucible you get the feeling, especially with this iron banner, that a whole lot of crap doesn't make sense in terms of the class balancing and mechanics.

                    • Yeh I noticed it straight away, I changed from Field Scout to Send It and that seems to help a bit. Try that out and let me know if you agree.

                        • I'm getting to the point where I'm about to say -blam!- this stupid PvP once again....I really don't like shitty spam cannons, I don't judge anyone for using them, I just hate that they are so overpowered in so many areas, other guns need to be buffed to compete
